The Story

Inuyasha is a half-demon who wants the Jewel of the Four Souls to become a real full demon. Kikyo a young girl, stops him from doing this by sealing him into a deep sleep with an arrow. However, Kikyo is wounded during the process and died, but she told her younger sister to burn her body with the jewel, so no more demons can get it to increase their power.
400 years later, a girl called Kagome accidentally got pulled into the Bone Eater's Well by a giant centipede demon and she was taken back in time to 400 years ago. There she meets Inuyasha and Kikyo's little sister who is now an old woman (Kaede). The villagers believed that Kagome was the reincarnation of Kikyo, since she had the jewel inside her body as we were later told. The centipede demon went after her to get the jewel, so eventually, Kagome broke the seal of Inuyasha to set him free and kill the serpent. Kikyo's sister gave Inuyasha a special beaded necklace, so that he won't be able to kill Kagome but instead protect her, because whenever Kagome says "Osuwari" (sit) Inuyasha falls to the ground.
Many demons come to attack them to get the jewel, and finally a crow demon eats it and Kagome shoots an arrow at it, but accidentally shatters the jewel inside it as well. Then, Inuyasha and Kagome's mission is to get the shattered pieces from or before demons eats it. Through friendship to love, this story has many twists and turns as Kagome finds out who was the one that actually killed Kikyo and not Inuyasha and who Inuyasha actually loves, her or Kikyo...
