Kaede (pronouced Kigh-ae-day) is the younger sister of Priestess Kikyou. Although she appears older than her sister by a great deal, she is a mortal human while Kikyou still looks the same at the time she died. Often when Inuyasha is in times of need, Kaede is there to help them and give them advice.

One big thing she is known for is putting the rosary around Inuyasha's necklace. She used a spell so that when Kagome yells "SIT" or "SIT BOY" Inuyasha responds by falling face first into the ground.
