Again Inuyasha and the gang are traveling again. Ahead of them in the fork of the road is a monk. He has just listened in on a group of travelers talking about some beautiful women. He also hears that some princess is possessed. Up a ways in a carriage the monk is riding with the carriage full of stolen items. He stops at a hot spring for a rest. Hearing a girl's voice coming from another part of the hot spring he decides to look. He sees Kagome with the Shikon Jewel around her neck!
As the monk plans to take the jewel Kagome starts to scream because monkeys are pulling at her hair. Inuyasha stands up to see what's wrong and Kagome smacks him for thinking he was peaking at her -_-
The monk is found out to be called Miroku. He has a servant raccoon youkai named Tanuki. Kagome explains to Inuyasha that he made off with the Shikon Jewel. Miroku dashes off to a nearby village. #17 Cursed Ink of the Hell-Painter
It has been heard and witnessed that a traveling artist has been using demons to do his bidding. Inuyasha, Miroku, and Kagome as passing through a town when Inuyasha notices that he smells ink and blood (with his very sensative nose). Inuyasha starts to stop men who are traveling to see what is up with the odd smelling ink. The artist, accused of these doings, is brought to a palace and the king orders him to be thrown down a river.
Meanwhile Miroku stops at the residing royal palace. There a king and princess live. Miroku warns the guards of the house that he senses a great evil near by and to allow him to banish the demons. Of course the guards hear this all the time so they laugh at Miroku and tell him to get lost. When they turn to walk off a dragon and ox demon appear out of no where and cause destruction.
Miroku, after saving the princess, gets his reward and convinces the king that he should stay to protect the princess (Miroku has a fetish for women and he never gives up). Inuyasha and Kagome end up meeting up with him. They pursue chasing after the artist. They find out that the artist can draw these demons and spring them to life. Not only is the artist human but he holds a shard of the Shikon no Tama. So after Inuyasha takes the jewel shards and destroys the demons the artist makes, the artist allows himself to be killed by the ink which sucked his blood dry.
Inuyasha could have killed the man there but it was the artist's choice to summon the ink to kill him. That goes to show everyone that Inuyasha is a good guy deep down ^_^

Miroku and his new found friends are taking a break a tavern. Inuyasha points out that in every village Miroku points out an "omnious cloud" hanging over the finest tavern in town.
So we have learned that is was Naraku that has betrayed and set up Kikyou and Inuyasha against each other. Naraku only has another trick up his sleeve. He comes upon Sesshoumaru one evening and offers him a human arm. Because Inuyasha cut if off with the Tetsusaiga, any arm he uses as a replacement will only last for so long. Naraku shares news with him that he too despies Inuyasha and gives Sesshoumaru and hive to throw at Miroku's wind tunnel. He also tells him that the human arm of the Shikon Jewel thus making him more powerful. Being from a mortal, the arm would allow Sesshoumaru to use the Tetsusaiga.
Sesshoumaru encounters Inuyasha soon with the new arm. Prepare to take the sword he beings to battle it out with Inuyasha. He grabs the Tetsusaiga and manages to get it away from Inuyasha. He demonstrates that he can now use it and shows off by killing 100 summoned demons and cutting a mountain in half in addition. Next he turns upon Inuyasha and tried to kill him. Miroku steps out and opens up the Wind Tunnel. Using the hive, Sesshoumaru throws it into the air. The bees willingly fly at Miroku and it causes Miroku to stop the attack. It slowly starts to poison him.
At the point of being nearly killed, an arrow shoots out of now where and bouncing off the Tetsusaiga in Sesshoumaru's hands. It deflects it and returns the sword to the weak state. Who shot the arrow? Kagome!
