Munich
Munich's City Hall entertains large audiences several times a day with performances by its Glockenspiel in the high tower.  Knights joust and acrobats do somersaults on different levels.  A great show for free.
Munich's landmark Catholic Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) was built in the 15th century.
The Nymphenburg Palace, most associated with Bavarian King Ludwig I.  Unlike his grandson, Ludwig II, who built fairytale castles and was judged insane, Ludwig I collected the most beautiful women in Bavaria.  See below.
One panel from the Ludwig I's Gallery of Beauties in Nymphenburg.  38 portraits in all, painted by a court artist over many years.  Ludwig I was always suspected of having more than an artistic relationship with the beauties.
Ludwig II's world famous castle of Neuschwanstein, the model borrowed by Walt Disney for Sleeping Beauty's Castle.  Ludwig II was declared insane and probably murdered in 1886 to prevent him from spending any more of the royal treasury on castles.
