This was the third park that was created in the Walt Disney World complex and opened in 1989.  The idea behind this park was to bring "movie magic" to the forground so that the general public can see what goes into making a movie that only privileged people got 40 years ago on backlot tours.
Lots of the attractions deal with "big name" movies and t.v. shows at air on the ABC network.  Some of the big attractions include Star Tours (now wait, you figure that Star Wars was made by FOX...so, why is there a ride dealing with Star Wars in a Disney Themed park?  Guess Disney asked good old George if they could have one with his help).  Others include the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour, and the parks latest creations; The Hollywood Tower of Terror (based of an episode from the Twilight Zone) and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster staring Aerosmith.
There are a few shows that deal with Disney movies; from The Little Mermaid to Honey, I Shunk The Kids play set, tv shows; Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Play It, and behind Disney's movie "magic"; The Magic of Disney Animation.
MGM's night show entitled "Fantasmic" is the #1 night show in all of Orlando (according to Disney).  It mostly follows the story line of the movie "Fantasia but adds parts from other Disney movies like Pocahontas, ect.  And just a little note, it's best to get the show at least an hour before it begins if you want a good seat.  If you don't, you'll be sorry...
Below are some my pictures from the park.  Wish I could of gotten more from the Indiana Stunt show, but they all came out blurry...for the most part.  So, sit back and enjoy!!!
