Welcome to the Matrix Organization. Now that you have been appointed as a distributor of our firm Matrix Advertising, you belong to the DREAM TEAM. There are some information you will need to know in order to understand our concept and ultimately grow within the organization. My objective is expansion and growth. I am constantly looking for potential new business managers. That is people who are willing to learn the basics of running their own business.

As a company we deal with the service industry, such as Restaurants, movie theatres, video centers and sports clubs. Our clients are some of the best in the country and our customer service is second to none.

I have personally been involved in this form of marketing since March 1996 and in June the same year opened and set up Chapter 12 - School of Advertising, Marketing and Promotions. This set up remains today with the vision of providing support in training and development of four critical areas of your growth. The KASH formula. Knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Habits. It is a division of SPK Consultants and will be available to you for your development and growth with the team.

The Matrix Organization is involved in several divisions, new divisions are being open every week in some parts of the world. Advertising is featured here, whilst Merchandising, Food, Flyers and Applications will be explained to you in due time.

We have a basic marketing system, which when followed correctly will benefit you financially and help you to progress.

As Advertising is about IMPACT and EXPOSURE, our job is to create a positive impact on the client by exposing their product direct to the consumer. Direct Advertising the way of the twenty first century.

However, to do this we need new owners taking on the responsibility of learning how to run and build their own locations. This does not happen overnight, However with a mature, positive approach and the good old fashioned hard work, opportunities are available.

Here is a basic guide to taking on the responsibility of running your own office. Remember there is NO SENIORITY and NO INVESTMENTS in our business. What are your responsibilities? As an independent contractor, you are your own boss. Your are working for yourself, but are not alone. We are here to assist you as you provide your expertise in direct advertising.

Insurance and Superannuating; As you are conducting your own business, you are responsible for making arrangements necessary to insure yourself against any injury or loss of income resulting form any accident suffered by you in the course of undertaking the direct marketing services. Accordingly, we suggest you take out the appropriate insurance to cover yourself and your business. We recommend SPK Consultants.

Record Keeping; This is one area of running your own business taht needs special attention. We suggest you keep full and comprehensive records. The consignment invoice should be kept and filed appropriately. You may also consider seeking assistance from an accountant if you do not already have one. We recommend etakaful. and AFAG. As you are responsible for paying your own income tax, this is especially important. 

Fair Trading Act; This Act is designed to protect consumers and business against misconduct or unfair trading. Any misconduct or misrepresentation of a clients promotions will result in the immediate termination of your contract.

Direct Sales Act 1993; provides that you carry and display your identity. An ID card will be provided for you and we insist that you wear and display it professionally.

Suggestions for dealing with customers

Past experience has shown us that if you follow these business practices your success would not only improve but will speed up as well.

[1] Dress Professionally

[2] Wear ID Badge in the field

[3] Respect peoples privacy. For example we suggest that you do not market past 7.30pm

[4] Misrepresentation is a serious offence. Do not say anything to a customer that is likely to be misleading or deceptive.

[5] If your customer require any additional information regarding our client or Pro E Cards, inform the customer of our Customer Service Line - Toll Free 1800 88 1043 Mondays to Fridays 9.00am to 5.00pm. You can however contact me 012 339 0532.

[6] Remain Ethical at all times. Never put a competitor down, never put a customer down and never ever argue. You may win an argument but you will never win the sale.

[7] It is an offence to sell to a person under the age of 18 or a minor.

[8]  To maximize your day, avoid overlapping by communicating with other independent contractors. Always check the campaign details of where other independent contractors have been.

[9] Always be and remain polite and courteous.

Remember the system, 5 & 8 Steps, Law of Average, Impulse Factors.

The More people you SEE, the more money you will make.
