Houses of Worship

There are also plans for the construction of the respective Houses of Worship respectively connected with the respective adherents of the respective religious traditions involved with this InterFaith Settlement, including Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam.  There are also plans for the construction of additional domiciles in proximity to these respective Houses of Worship, effectively establishing the religiously designated neighbourhoods previously described.  Each of these initiatives requires appropriate arrangements with the suppliers of the necessary materials as well as appropriate arrangements with individuals and organisations with respective experience in the Text Box:  Farmers and Rice Field Affiliated Affiliated with International Fair Trade Association (by International Fair Trade Association, www.ifat.org)construction of such edifices.

 

Agriculture

There are also plans to prepare a certain area of the land for the cultivation of agricultural crops and the raising of cattle.

 

 

ii.  Partial Listing of Potential Resource Contributors

 

As previously described, this InterFaith Settlement maintains certain self sufficiency through the cultivation of agriculture, production of light industry, and the trade of products and services with other individuals and organisations in the locality of this InterFaith Settlement as well as throughout the World.  This self sufficiency and trade, however, is predicated upon the appropriate provision of land to this InterFaith Settlement.  And within this provision of land, there may be considered to be a transitional process.  Within this transitional process, additional support can be provided to this InterFaith Settlement to facilitate the transfer of land and the maintenance of the additional necessary resources previously described as being required by the residents of this InterFaith Settlement. 

 

This additional support can be provided by religious communities and congregations;  interFaith institutions, organisations, groups, and initiatives;  the United Nations and the intergovernmental entities of the United Nations as well as those of the international community;  the respective governments of the nations of the World;  specific international initiatives and programmes including the Alliance of Civilisation and the Club of Rome;  additional think tanks, philanthropic, and global institutions, organisations, and groups;  as well as benevolent and advocacy organisations.


4.  Service

 

i. Specific Services Provided

 

The residents of this InterFaith Settlement provide the benefit of the lessons gained within this InterFaith Settlement with the aggregate of the adherents of the respective religious traditions involved with this InterFaith Settlement as Text Box:  Woman with Children in Intentional Community at Findhorn, Scotland (by Global Ecovillage Network, http://gen.ecovillage.org)well as the international community.

 

Continuing Consultation

The residents of this InterFaith Settlement maintain direct, continuing consultation with the specific religious communities and congregations, interFaith institutions, organisations, groups, and initiatives, United Nations offices and intergovernmental entities of the United Nations as well as those of the international community, respective government institutions, benevolent and advocacy organisation, and additional individuals and organisations that are involved with this InterFaith Settlement.  This continuing consultation occurs through a coordinating conference held every five years (in a similar manner to the InterFaith conventions of the International Association for Religious Freedom, Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions, and the Peace Council, as well as the World Summit of political leaders held by the United Nations and the similar World Summit of political leaders held by the Un Aligned Movement).  This continuing consultation occurs through the provision of an annual Text Box:  Residents in Intentional Community at Huehuecoyotl, Mexico (by Global Ecovillage Network, http://gen.ecovillage.org)periodic newsletter published by this InterFaith Settlement (with the potential for the periodic newsletter being published on a quarterly basis).  This continuing consultation also occurs through direct interaction (meetings, lectures, seminars, congregational addresses, speeches, et cetera) upon the direct solicitation of one of the previously described institutions, organisations, entities, groups, or individuals.  Similar consultation is also provided to other institutions, organisations, entities, groups, and individuals.

 

Personal Insights

The intent is that this InterFaith Settlement maintains an online forum (similar to that maintained by Taking IT Global, www.takingitglobal.org) with the respective religious communities and the general public throughout the World pertaining the experiences within this InterFaith Settlement.  This InterFaith Settlement also similarly maintains personal web logs respectively provided by individual residents of this InterFaith Settlement that are made available to the respective religious communities and general public throughout the World.
