iii.
Facilities
The necessary resources for this InterFaith Settlement are provided by the generosity of the individual supporters of this InterFaith Settlement. These resources include the basic sustenance and shelter of participants, as well as additional considerations including transportation, utilisation of computers and technology, as well as additional appropriate provisions.
The intention is for this InterFaith Settlement to be a self
sustaining, intentional community that is also intrinsically reliant upon the
generosity of others in a substantial and conventional manner (the explanation
of this apparent paradox is explained through the notion of ‘Formal Friendship,’
described within the addenda of this organisational plan). There are plans for this InterFaith
Settlement to maintain light industry (furniture and other handcrafts as well
as clothing) and agriculture as well as a market providing appropriate products. There are also plans for the residents of
this InterFaith Settlement to provide the benefit of their respective
professional expertise. The intention is
for this InterFaith Settlement to maintain a system of both production within
this InterFaith Settlement and trade with other individuals and organisations
outside of this InterFaith Settlement so that the aggregate necessities of the
residents of this InterFaith Settlement are provided.
