19 students from an Advertising Agency, named California State University Fullerton Advertising Agency, participated under advisor Ray Roschmann of California State University, Fullerton with additional assistance from Travis Rothman of EdVentures Partners, the agency coordinating the educational initiatives for GM.

General Motors Marketing Internship (GMMI)

GMMI provides students with extensive experience, in dealing with real world situations, as far as business and environmental factors are concerned. Students participate in the brainstorming, development, conducting, as well as evaluating a full-scale funded, promotional plan for a General Motors affiliated client, Hardin Buick/Pontiac/GMC.

GMMI is an internship program for the college students to gain business experience while developing and implementing their own promotional campaign for General Motors. Throughout the Internship program, students will:
  • Manage a $2,500 budget.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Design a promotional campaign including integrated marketing communication campaign.
  • Write a marketing and integrated marketing communication proposal.
  • Implement the promotional program Measure the success.
