"The trial may even end in God's aquital. But the important thing is that man is on the bench and God in the dock" --C.S. Lewis
THREE WAYS TO PROVE GOD
COSMOLOGICAL
Cause and effect. Nothing comes from nothing.
We could not be a cosmic accident. Some force would have had to put it in motion.
TELEOLOGICAL
Design implies a designer. If you saw a house you'd assume it was built by a builder. If you saw a great painting you'd assume it was done by a painter.
The Universe has design and purpose
So the Universe must have had a designer
MORALS
Romans 2:15 claims that God's law is writen upon our hearts. Gee, that could explain the conscience that we all have.
All societies have moral obligations
Of course these do not prove outright that there is a God. But they do seem to favor the notion. There are other methods that favor God, but they favor opinion and personal attitudes. Such as INTUITION, REVALATION, AND ONTOLOGICAL.
INTUITION I just feel it. Every culture in the world had (at one point or another) a belief in a god. People are by their nature religious.
REVALATION He's told us he exists through his word
ONTOLOGICAL In order to say there is no God there has to be a concept of God in the mind.
Proving God is like proving yourself. Prove your existence. What methods do you use? Did they give full proof?
