It was another wonderful, glorious day in Orlando. The sun seemed to shine brighter then it had ever shined, the sky bluer than blue could ever be and the wind peacefully blew Anna's auburn hair as Bryan watched his angel enjoy the sun. They laid together on the beach towel as the waves crashed in the near distance. 'Could life be any better?' the two thought as they laid quietly, thinking of each other and the events that recently occurred. Kori and Kian weren't talking, Claudia and Mark weren't talking, but Bryan and Anna laid together, holding hands and only thinking of their time together.
"I hate to do this to you, babe, but if we don't go inside, my delicate skin is going to be raw. I wasn't blessed with a gorgeous tan. Remember- Irish people are supposed to stay INSIDE for the summer." Bryan leaned over and kissed Anna's forehead.
"It's okay, I was ready to go in." Anna said as she pulled Bryan down on top of her and they lingered a bit. But all too soon, Bryan grabbed the beach necessities, took Anna's hand and walked to her cabin. They were totally in their own world as they approached the house. They were blissfully unaware to the previous racket coming from within when the shouting got out of control. The two ran into the cabin to find Kori and Claudia trying to calm down Jerid as Nicky and Shane yelled at him.
"What the hell?!" Bryan yelled as Anna froze, a shocked look on her face.
"Baby!" Jerid walked over to Anna and embraced her.
"Hey, watch it buddy!" Bryan grabbed Jerid's arm.
"No Bryan, it's okay." Anna gently touched Bryan's hand. He gave her a confused look as she pulled his arm off Jerid. "Jerid Romney, this is Bryan McFadden." Anna looked to Kori and Claudia. They'd dealt with Jerid's moods before and knew what he was capable of.
"Bryan? So who is he, Anna?" Jerid said as he stood eyeballing Bryan, sizing him up, trying to figure his involvement with his girlfriend.
"He lives next door." Anna said quietly.
"So." Jerid walked around Bryan, "What have you and Mr. Neighbor been doing?"
"Jerid, what are you doing here?" Anna asked, trying to change the subject.
"I came to surprise you, baby." Jerid moved closer to Anna and began kissing her. Anna was physically repulsed by his kiss, for the first time.
"Hey, Mr. Asshole!" Bryan pulled Jerid off Anna. "What the hell are you doing with my girl?"
"Your girl? Anna, don't tell me you've been occupying your time with this jerk?" Jerid stood directly in front of Bryan as he spoke. Anna put herself between them as they both began to start pushing at her.
"Lads! Why don't we talk about this." Nicky pulled Anna from between the two.
"Get away from me, you Irish freak." Jerid pushed Nicky backwards into Shane. Bryan made a leap for Jerid as Shane and Nicky both lunged forward to aid Bry.
"Stop it!" Kori pulled Shane off Jerid. Claudia grabbed Nicky and held him at a distance from Jerid.
"All of you- OUT!" Anna stepped between Jerid and Bryan again, she needed to separate them.
"Yes, leave." Claudia said as she began pushing Nicky and Shane towards the door.
"We aren't done with this asshole!" shouted Shane.
"You two aren't helping the situation. Nicky, be the sensible one. Take Shane and Bryan next door." Claudia said as she looked at Shane. "We won't let Jerid hurt Anna."
"If he touches you, then he's a dead man." Shane began to straighten the shirt Jerid ripped in the scuffle. Claudia's heart warmed at the thought of his chivalry towards her as he walked out the cabin door with Nicky and Bryan.
"Jerid Romney, what do you mean coming here like this!" Anna yelled. Her temper was starting to burn. Kori and Claudia made themselves scarce but still within earshot, in case Anna needed them.
"Baby, I wanted to see you. I missed you." He moved closer to her and he embraced her again. Anna pushed him away as he stood staring at her. "You would never push me away before. Who is this Bryan?"
"Jerid, we have so much to talk about." Anna moved way from him and sat down.
"You bet we do. Who is this Bryan?" He asked again as he sat down next to her.
"Bryan isn't the problem. I felt this way before I met him. Jerid, we just aren't...."
Bryan sat in his room, brooding as he listened to his music. He didn't
know with whom he should be angry. How could Jerid ruin his perfect summer?
He met the girl of his dreams, someone he truly loved and she loved him back.
How could Jerid come and ruin everything? Bryan knew that Anna loved him,
she told him but would she be strong enough with Jerid? It took all of his
strength not to go over and beat the hell...

He was all wrong for Anna, couldn't she see that? He didn't let her be
herself, he didn't let her grow as a person, he didn't love her like Bryan
loved her. There was so much more love that Bryan wanted to show Anna but...

Bryan would never lie to Anna. His words would always be true. Bryan stood up and walked over to his bed as he lay staring at the ceiling. All he could see was Anna, her smile and her beautiful face. Her laughter was echoing in his mind..

Bryan listened to the words of the song as he closed his eyes. He tried putting Anna out of his mind. He tried thinking of anything but her. But she consumed his thoughts. He had never felt this way about a girl before and surprisingly, it didn't scare him.
Baby listen to me when I say
I will love you more then that.
Bryan jumped up off the bed and started pacing. He couldn't stand not knowing what the hell was going on next door. Thoughts of Jerid holding Anna rushed to him, thoughts of Jerid kissing Anna and her smiling at him shot through his heart as he tightened his fists. Thoughts of Anna and Shane rushed in his head, their embrace and her tears. But Shane didn't worry Bryan, Jerid did. Bryan knew Shane, he was his best friend but Jerid was a total stranger. He hated the thought of Shane holding Anna and being the one to soothe her tears but it was killing him to think of Jerid even touching Anna. GOD! He hated feeling the way he did!!

Bryan walked over to his window as he spied on the cabin next door. The candles were now flickering in the dusk as he could see shadows, close shadows...tears began to form in Bryan's eyes as his whole world began to crash before him...

Bryan dashed away the tears and turned around to face the door to his room...
So take my hand...... don't say good-bye...I will love you more than that, I won't say the the words...and take them back...
Bryan opened the door to his room as Nicky and Shane sat watching TV. Nicky was nursing the swollen eye Jerid hit and Shane was still fuming at the thought of Jerid being near Claudia. Bryan walked past the two of them and made his way next door. It was now or never. He had to fight for the woman he loved...
"Because I don't love you,Jerid. I'm sorry but I haven't for a while." Anna stood up from the couch.
"You don't just fall out of love in a few months, Anna. Just come back with me, I know you'll love me more than ever." Jerid stood up and grabbed Anna's arm as Bryan entered the cabin. He didn't knock, he just stormed in.
"Anna, I have to say this. I'm sorry, I know you don't want me here but if I don't say it and I lose you, then I will regret it." Bryan said quickly before Anna could argue with him entering unannounced.
"I love you. I love you more then anything in this world. I don't know what the future will bring us but as long as we are together, that is my future." Bryan didn't even take a breath between words.
"Listen, creep. You tried to take my girl away from me and..."Jerid said as he walked over to Bryan.
"You listen, creep. This has nothing to do with you." Bryan said interrupting Jerid.
"Jerid, I think it's time for you to leave." Anna said as she looked straight at Bryan.
"Leave? Baby, I'm not leaving without you." Jerid moved closer to Anna as he felt a tight grip around his neck.
"The lovely lady asked you to leave." Bryan said as he lifted Jerid up off his feet.
"Anna, you're making a big mistake!" Jerid yelled as he tried to pull away from Bryan.
"The only mistake I made was staying with you too long, Jerid. You loved me for who you thought I was, not who I am. You can't make me into something you want. You have to accept me for who I already am. You aren't man enough to do that. I couldn't see that before, but now I can say that I have safely come to my senses." Anna heaved a sigh of relief when she realized she had actually said it.
"Have a nice flight back to Washington." Bryan threw Jerid out the door and slammed it behind him. Jerid's cussing was heard for the next few minutes as he stalked to his car.
"Looks like we got rid of the ugly American...I know you didn't want me over here, I know you said you could handle it yourself, I just had to tell you. He isn't what you need. You need someone who won't hold you down, who'll love you for who, not what you are. I think I can be that person. Don't hate me, if you just give me a chance.." Bryan words were halted by Anna' s lips on his.
"I love you Bryan McFadden." She said as she planted a big kiss on him. They continued the kisses and embraces for the rest of the night as Anna showed Bryan how much she loved him. A commitment was made that night, not vocally but spiritually. Anna and Bryan were connected. They belonged together for the rest of their lives.
