Tonya sat nervously on Kian's bed, waiting for him to finish signing
autographs in the lobby. How do you tell a man you met him in another lifetime?
It was beyond belief and illogical at best, and she flopped back on the bed. Kian watched her from the doorway as she ran her fingers through her hair and
bit his lip. It took all his willpower not to pounce but with one look at her he
could tell she was troubled. Was she regretting her decision to join him in his
room? Maybe she wasn't feeling him like he was her, the thought like a physical
blow to the stomach. Tonya sensed him there and sat up on her elbows, "Hey there, nothing
like making yourself comfy huh?" "You sprawled on my bed was a sight I could get used to, I quite liked
it. T, something is bothering you and you can't deny it. Is it me?" he said
sitting next to her but at a comfortable distance. She sat up quickly and reached for his hand. "No Kian, not at all. I
have something to say to you and I'm afraid it will change everything between
us." He cupped her face gently and giggled, "I know" which caused her
eyes to grow wide. "You do?" "Yeah, I know that you've never done this and I promise it'll be
alright. I won't push you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable." She
turned a bright red, how did he find THAT out? "Um... yah I am a virgin but that's not it. I never found anyone that I
felt was special enough. I have now and there's a really specific reason why
you're the one. We've been waiting for each other, for about 400 years." Kian sat back clearly confused, "Wha? 400 hundred years? It's been
awhile but..." and stared at the tiny Tower Tonya held in her hand. "Please hear me out, I know this sounds daft. Remember the reaction we
had to meeting at the Towers? I know you felt the spark and had the chills. I
went back the other day and really listened." She started pouring out the
whole story, the dream, and was just about to get the book with the picture when
he started to chuckle. The chuckle became a full blown guffaw with tears running
down his face and Tonya felt humiliated, a little piece of her dying inside. Not
only didn't he believe her he was mocking her. "You have such a brilliant imagination love, but it was just a dream.
The sparks, me being your savior... it's chemical. It's lust." She stormed off the bed and wanted to throw the flipping model at his head.
"You arrogent asshole, of course it's all about how hot you are! What
happened to that Irish charm- the magic of the dew on the mountains, a full moon
on the cliffs?" He stood up now and stood in front of her taking her hands,"And little
people who'll take you to the pot of gold. Why are you so upset? Yes we have a
connection but that we've lived another life? I dunno Tonya." She went to the door with tears in her eyes, hurt that he wasn't even willing
to listen. She thought he'd make that leap of faith and maybe tap into something
in his subconscious. It wasn't about making love, it was the joining of their
souls. "When and if you can get past what your head tells you and start
listening to your heart call me." she said and walked out. Kian followed her out to the lift, incredulous that she was leaving over
that. "Jesus Tonya, I'm sorry. I do love you, I always have apparently.
Where will I find you?!" he screamed at the closing doors. Going back to
the room he grabbed the stupid book and tossed it in the corner, what the bloody
hell had just happened? Now it was his turn to lie on the bed in knots. Glancing
at the castle she had tossed to the floor he sighed deeply. It was rubbish, past
lives and soulmates looking to connect again. Then could someone explain why a
small piece of him was scared she was right?
