Shane listened intently to Kian's story as they drove back to Hampton Court
Palace. He was the only one Kian felt comfortable telling it to and when he
asked him to make the journey back from Manchester to London Shane didn't blink
an eye. "You're such a jerk for laughing at her like that. And you wonder
why she hasn't tried to contact you." Shane said shaking his head. "Excuse me guru of romance. What would you have done if Hils told you
you'd lived another life and that you were destined to find each other in this
one?" "I'd have told her it made perfect sense because we complete each other.
You said you felt a connection from the very start, why was it so hard for you
to believe it could be true?" Kian looked at him dubiously, "It's weird and scary that something like
that could happen." "What changed your mind then?" Kian had a dream but it was more than that, it was like a flashback really.
He could see Tonya but there was no sound, which heightened his ability to feel.
He sensed that she trusted him and believed in him completely, and it made him
feel protective. She was so petite and fragile looking but deep inside there was
a fire burning and Kian wanted her, he'd do anything to have her. It changed
though and then he saw her from a distance, standing alone above him. He
couldn't stand to see the sadness and pain in her face, he needed to let her
know that she wasn't alone. The one thing he could hear was himself say, "This
isn't the end. I'd do it all again for just one moment with you." When
he woke up he found the book she'd thrown at him and searched for what she
wanted him to see, a strange calm coming over him when he found it. "Shane, it was a drawing of Queen Anne Boleyn's execution. Lady Evelyn
was also in the picture and she's Tonya, I'd bet my life on it. I think I
already did once, risked everything for her." Shane didn't say it outloud but this all had him a little freaked out.
"My English history is kind of shady but Anne Boleyn lived at Hampton
Court, that's why we're going there." "Right, because Eve would have been there as well. I want to see for
myself that she was real." Calling ahead a personal guide was waiting for
them and he asked where they wanted to start. Kian asked if they had any
pictures of Anne and her ladies, and he was pumped to learn that they did. The
guide lead them to the Wolsey Rooms where all the great works of art were kept
and brought them to a huge picture depicting Henry and Anne's wedding day. She was there and tears filled Kian's eyes, she had been telling him the
truth. Shane quickly gave himself the sign of the cross and said, "Now I am
totally freaked. That is Tonya, right there!" Kian could only nod as it took him a minute to grasp the magnitude of it all.
The guide thought they were nuts. Kian wiped his eyes and spoke with a new
determination, "I've got to find her and let her know I believe her. I'm
not going to lose her, not again."
