Writers, family members, colleagues and friends of firefighters, Smoke Jumpers, Police Officers ER and Medical Personnel are encouraged to submit their true, original 1000-1500-word stories of friendship, love and service for the series titled: A Cup Of Inspiration And Comfort For Firefighters, Police Officers, ER & Medical Personnel
We all know about the power of storytelling in most cultures of the world. We all recognize the power of language to affect, enrich, touch lives and its potential to empower others. A writer once said, "Literature is the human search for meaning." We all are trying to understand what has happened to our country, culture and personal lives in the aftermath of recent world events. These times are good for us to go back to what we know will be with us. Our families, the relationships, friendships we have established throughout our private and professional lives become very useful. The present times also call us to take an inventory of the things that matter to us in life. Among them, we can find values and virtues such as love, freedom, respect, right to write and give our opinions, right to work and pursue happiness, embrace and love of the stranger, neighbor and immigrants etc. In short, that's what the American Way is all about!
This is an e-publishing opportunity for true stories of inspiring and extraordinary friendships between firefighters, police officers, ER and Medical personnel and you! Once again, the 1000-1500-word stories must be true and authentic. They can be in the first or third-person.
Bear in mind that your stories must show the lines of work, evoke insight, inspiration, compassion, memories, laughter and even tears. They must convey clear messages to our readers who will be mostly mainstream female and male adults. Focus mostly on the great relationships you have built with your friend firefighter, police officers, ER and physician over the years. All of these guys have one thing in common: Dedication to serve you no matter what the circumstances may be
This search is open to all writers, new as well as established ones. There is no entry fee! However, there is only a non-refundable $10.00 Evaluation or Reading Fee per submission for the e-agent! Please include your full name, e-mail and snail mail addresses and phone number on each submission. Each writer can submit up to 2 stories for this series. We hope to epublish up to 60 stories in this Cup of Inspiration and Comfort For...series. Five of them will be selected to be used as featured samples on the site.
