How do astronauts walk in space? An astronaut cannot walk the ordinary way once he/she leaves his spacecraft during a journey. All round is nothing but empty space. There is not even any gravity to pull him/her in particular direction. So when astronauts do leave their spacecraft during a flight-perhaps to help in docking operation with another spacecraft--they carry specially designed hand rockets with them. If they point the rocket exhaust in one direction, and give the engine a burst of power, they will move in the opposite direction. They can steer themselves this way. * 90 people die every hour in India because of cancer caused by tobacco consumption. About 15 million tobacco consumers are suffering from fatal lung and oral cancer. By 2010 the number could reach 30 million, if uncontrolled. * 80 per cent of the beggars in Saudi Arabia during the month of Ramadan are non-Saudis. A 50 per cent increase has been noted in the number of beggars during the holy month. Many of them use mobile phones to communicate with each other. * 4.52 kilos of hydrocarbons, 31.25 kilos of carbon monoxide and 2.45 kilos of nitrogen oxide will not pollute the environment if a single person decides to use public transportation for a year instead of driving to work.
