Lessons from the life of
Mother Teresa
Humility: She did not think of herself, but others and their needs. She did everything for God.
Faith: She surrendered herself to God. The rock on which she has built her institute is her unshakeable faith in God.
Prayer: In solidarity she prayed and meditated and became aflame with the desire of spending herself for the cause of Jesus.
Compassion: The dire needs and hardships of people urged her to do something.
Revolution: She realized that within the structures of organized education, it would be impossible to achieve her aim. So she got out of the system.
Sensitivity: All her projects started to fill a need. She saw a man dying before a hospital on the street, and opened a house for the dying. On seeing abandoned children, she started her Sishu Bhavan. On seeing lepers, she cared for them.
Example: She taught more by example than words. She did not ask her sisters to do anything what she had not done herself.
