IMPROVING SELF

If you plan your life with God as your strength and power, you will go on from one level of personal perfection to another, and the whole way of your life will be better. But not everyone is going to improve. Certain people feel they are all right as they are. They look in the mirror with a smile of approval, and will probably never get any better unless they change their attitude.

Other people want to improve themselvesa little bit. They know they are not realizing their full potential and are dissatisfied with themselves. They have tried a little to improve and havent succeeded very much. So they have given up.

Still others realize their imperfections, and would like to overcome things and get somewhere in life. But they try to do it all by themselves, and find out they havent the fortitude to do it on their own.

The first step is two all-important words want to. Really want to. Not with any half-hearted, apathetic, manner, but with all youve got, with all your desire. God is on the side of the people who want to. I honestly believe with all my heart that a human being has immense power when he is united with God, that he can do almost anything if he says, God is my strength and power.

Also remember, no one ever improved without discipline. Emerson said, the controlled man is the powerful man.

 Norman Vincent Peale

Worry

About ninety percent of the things in our lives are right and about ten percent are wrong. If we want to be happy, all we have to do is to concentrate on the ninety percent that are right and ignore the ten percent that are wrong.  Dale Carneigie
