Stories that Stir
Fault-finder Vs Good-finder
An elderly woman was washing dishes one morning when a beautiful girl knocked at the back door, politely took off her hat, bowed and asked if she could help her prepare breakfast. The woman replied in harsh tones, "I have no patience with strange girls! I work for my living and you can work for yours! And if you don’t go away, I’ll call my husband." At that point the young girl said, "your husband is not at home." She was startled and asked, "How do you know that?" The young girl replied, "If he is home it’s because he is sick. He wouldn’t stay home with you unless he was sick."
The elderly lady shut the door, unable to finish washing the dishes. Her thoughts went back over the morning when she had scolded her husband and had not been kind to him the evening before. The next day she asked God to help her change her life. She changed from a ‘fault-finder’ to a ‘good-finder’. A much happier married life followed. —Zig Ziglar
