CLUE 1
This scrapy sampler quilt will  measures 40" x 44".  It consists of 2",  3",  and 6" blocks.  Clues wil be released every 2 weeks and there is a total of 13 clues.  You will be instructed in each clue how many blocks to make of each.  If you would like to make this quilt bigger then you can double the size of each block. The cutting instructions for the larger version, as well as any notes are at the bottom of the pages so it does not confuse anyone.
Since this is a scrap quilt in the true sense of the word, no fabric requirements are given.  You will need something to construct the inside border.  It  will require you to purchase 1 1/2 yards for that, but I suggest you wait til the mystery is solved to pick it out.
The 1st  block/clue is the Shoo Fly block.  You will need to make:
2 - 3" finished blocks   (larger pattern at bottom of page)
Cutting Instructions:  ( for 2 - 3" finished blocks )
     Light Scraps:  Cut 8 - 1 1/2" Squares
                  Cut 4 - 2" Squares

    Dark Scraps:  Cut 2 - 1 1/2" Squares
                  Cut 4 - 2" Squares

Assembly:
    Make half-square triangle units (
using the 2" squares) by placing the light square on top of the dark square, rights sides together.  Mark a line from corner to corner.  Stitch 1/4" on both sides of the diagonal line.   These are your corner pieces.  *********They will need to be trimmed, make sure they measure 1 1/2".
Assemble the rest of the block according to this diagram :P
Cutting Instructions:  ( for 2 - 6" finished blocks )
