This was a great game -- one that I was extremely fortunate to win as Stover missed a 45 Yd FG w/ 5 seconds to play.

The first half was quiet as no one scored. Baltimore jumped up to a 7-0 lead when J Lewis scored on a 4 yd run. Bal completed a clutch 4th and 8 by throwing a pass to J Lewis for a 1st down

The Steelers respond with a 45 yd bomb from Maddox to Burress to tie the score. The Steelers stop the Ravens and then get the ball back with less than a minute to go. The Steelers connect another TD when Maddoz hit Ward w/ a 27 yd pass. Steelers 14 Bal 7 at half

The third half starts and on a 4th and 1 Bal stones Pitt on the Pit 46 yd line.

Baltmore then apparantly scores with a 10 yd run by J Lewis. As J Lewis is abt to score there is a flag for clipping. Pitt accepts the flag and then after a pause of the game...The Steelers realize that this was a bad call and one that I should have declined.
PITT then plays prevent D and Bal scores two plays later

The Steelers get the ball and and drive methodically down the field and punch it in with a Bettis TD run from 1 yd out. Pit 21- Bal 14

w/ about three minutes to go the Ravens drive down to the Steelers 5 yd line. On a 3rd and 1 Clancy penetrates and stones J Lewis and on 4th and 3 the pass to Heap is incomplete

Now there is 1:25 seconds or so to go. BAL has three timeouts. The Steelers run the ball twice and on 3rd and 5 they throw an incomplete. There is abt 1 Min left and the Steelers punt. The Ravens on the first play hit a seam pass to Travis Taylor all the way tp the 1yd line. J Lewis scores from 1 ydf out

Now there is abt 1M left. The Steelers go three and out and punt w/ 35 seconds left. The Ravens catch the punt and Pit interferes with the punt returner. The Ravens run twice to eat the clock and line up stover from 40-45 yds out to win the game. The kick is up and hooks to the left! The Steelers are saved....

The Steelers get the coin toss in OT and start to drive down the field. A big pass to Riemersma moves the chains. The Steelers win the game w/ a Maddon bomb to Burress from 41 yds out. PIT 27 Bal 21

Jared's Patriots 30 - Hendu24's Rams 28

In a rematch of SB XXXVI, the Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams in an ugly game of sloppy football. Early turnovers helped stake the Patriots to a 20-0 halftime lead. The Rams responded in the second half with a few key 3rd down stops, pulling ahead 21-20. The Patriots scored again with a quick strike to Deion Branch, then the Rams responded with a last second drive to pull ahead, 28-27.

Then, with 29 seconds and no timeouts, after an excellent kick return by Kevin Faulk, Tom Brady marched the Patriots down the field, hitting key passes to David Givens and David Patten to set up another last second game-winning field goal for #4.

1st Q
After returning the kickoff to the 23 yard line, the Ravens called a HB counter to J Lewis. Lewis broke 2 tackles and scampered 77 yards for the TD. When Lewis was crossing the 10 yard line alone a penalty was called against the Ravens for holding but Penning10 graciously declined it saying the call was bogus and had nothing to do with the play. A very gentlemanly move on his part. The Broncos came out trying to use a heavy dose of Portis but the Ravens stuffed him forcing a punt. After moving all the way down to the 18 yard line, the Ravens came out in a single back big formation planning on running the ball. But Boller saw the weakside safety cheating up and opted to audible to a pass play with M Robinson on the fly. Robinson got behind the corner and was open for the play but Penning10 took control of the DB and sprinted to cut it off and make a great user INT.

After some stout D from both sides, the Broncos finally got their O kickstareted with some nice screen plays and moved down into FG range. The Ravens finally stopped them and forced a 31 yd FG by Elam.

After stopping the Broncs on their opening drive of the half, The Ravens gave a heavy dose of J Lewis and marched down to the 8 yard line. Lewis was spelled for a breather but Taylor picked up the slack nicely and scampered for an 8 yd TD run.

4th Q
Sensing urgency, the Broncos mounted a beautiful drive all the way down to the 11 yard line. Portis got the ball and ran 6 yards down to the 5. On 2nd down they went with Portis for a 3 yard gain down to the 3. On 3rd down Portis was stuffed forcing a 4th and goal at the 3 yard line. Plummer took the play fake and scrambled until he finally saw Sharpe running open across the end zone and fired it in but McCallister recovered and cut the pass off and took it back 102 yards the other way for the defensive score. On the ensuing kickoff D O'Neil (who was having a good day on kickoffs) promptly took the ball 100 yards for the quick return score closing the gap to 21-10. The Broncos attempted the onside kick and almost caught the Ravens sleeping while lined up in a standard kick return, but the Ravens luckily recovered it. Looking to run some time off the clock the Ravens gave the ball to J Lewis who found daylight and ran it in for 37 yards and the TD making the score 28-10. The Broncos mounted a quick return drive and hit McCaffrey on a 28 yard TD narrowing the lead to 11. But the ensuing onside kick was recovered by the Ravens and with 3 kneel downs were able to put away what was quite an exciting game.

In a game in which the New York Football Jets caught all the breaks, the San Francisco 49ers were caught on a field of Green quicksand all day long.

The Jets were able to get up early in the game 21-0, through a variety of TD's including a snazzy Punt Return by S. Moss & a INT return by "say hey" Ray Mickens.

The Jets D' was stifling Jeff Garcia the entire first half, the front four getting to the SF QB for a few sacks & when they didn't get there, they were batting down passes. The few early completions Garcia could make would only be to Fred Beasley in the flat, who was met by his namesake Aaron, for minimal gains. When SF would start to move the ball, a few INT's or failed 4th down attempts kept the 9ers off the board.

At the half, Jeff Garcia was quoted as saying"I just didn't feel real crisp", and T.O. was screaming at his teammates so much he forgot to tell his agent to file his free agency paperwork....

The Jets, confident with their ability to dominate on both sides of the ball, went into the locker room feeling like Champions.

The 9ers went exclusively with a 4 WR set in the 2nd half, hitting some crossing routes when the Jets would drop into zone, and effectively using the RB in pass routes.

But the Jets were able to keep them at arm's length all afternoon, as SF never got within 14 points of the lead. As the Jets burned the clock on the ground, Curtis Martin scored a TD on a great cut-back run to the weakside for about 20 yds.

But the Jets were not without their own blunders either. Coach Herm Edwards decided to run one last play with the clock running at :01 instead of just walking off the field. LaMont Jordan fumbled to Julian Peterson who took it 80-ish yards for a TD, and to shut TO up on the plane ride home, they throw a 2pt cov pass to him with :00 on the clock.

Herm just had that stupid smirk on his face watching the last play happen...

Huncbac's Dolphins (7) @ Jared's Patriots (41)

1st Quarter opened up the Pats recieving the kick, and marching down the length of the field with help from two key 3rd down completions, ending in a TD pass to Daniel Graham. On the Dolphins ensuing posession, Fiedler threw a costly interception to Ty Law who returned it for a TD. After trading fumbles and INTs, Brady capitalizes on a coverage miscue, hitting Branch for a 13 yard TD strike.

HALF-TIME-YAY

Down 21-0, the Dolphins return to the field fired up and open the half by matching down the field (with a friggin 58 yard pass) capitalizing on a blitz and scoring to McMichael. New England responded with a pass in the flats to David Givens, who juked and jived his way for 38 yards and a TD. In the 4th quarter, New England extended their lead with two Vinatieri field goals, along with a Vrabel inducing Fieldler (hereafter known as 'girly man who can't throw') into a fumble, which Ted Washington picked up and rumbled 13 yards into the end zone, highstepping all the way.

Rerunsports beat the House of Steel back in Week #1 by a score of 34-15 .... The House is looking for some revenge ! The Press Conference has been in the process of being edited for publication, let's just say after last weeks shut-out loss to the Gun of Bavaria, changes needed to happen and happen fast in order to try and get the House into a low playoff seed. Let me introduce the starting team for House of Steel " The Tennessee Titans " ~ I hate this team, but with Air McNair running the show, it might be better than Tommy Gun Maddox !

Rerunsports ponders the coin toss ~ Giants win the toss and elect to kick. It is a bright sunny day in Nashville ( Where is Elvis? ) ...

Titans go 3 and out, the Giants D is looking awesome / Giants take the ball at the 40 yard line, Titans D seems confused, allowing some huge plays and runs ! TD PASS up the middle to Shockey for 17 yards ! Nice TD .. Dropped ball by the Titans forces anouther punt.

I am unable to kick a onside kick ???????? This sucks ...... Anouther interception by the Titans - Signs of life maybe ? Freakin dropped pass and faced with a 4th and 4 - have to go ! Intercepted by the Giants .....

Giants kick and the Titans run backward toward their own goal - Anouther interception by the MIGHTY GIANTS D .... I am done ...... This game is over ....... I give up and throw the white towel into the field !! As the clock ticks away the Giants take knee as a show of class !

FINAL SCORE GIANTS KICK THE LIVING s**t OUT OF THE TITANS - The score was 31 to 7 .......

The game got off to a rousing start as the jets scored on the first play from its two first series. However, then the Seahawks clamped down and held the Jets to 10 points for the rest of the game. The Seahawks attacked with their Rb who was held in check for most of the game except for a 92 yard scamper at the end of the first half to bring the game to a 14-14 tie.

The Jets scored a touchdown as Pennington saw zone coverage and hit Moss in stride following a interception of Matt Hasselbeck on a attempted pass in the flat. Jets 21 Seahawks 14

The Seahawks start moving the ball down the field when they get picked off for a third time by Jamie Henderson... and the Jets Kick a fg from the seahawks 8 yard line to make the final score jets 24 Seahawks 14.

Game  played in Pittsburgh with a sold-out crowd of 62,643 screaming fans ! It is great to be in Pittsburgh to be playing with our fans cheering us on says Coach Cowher ! This is a must win game, we have been struggling the last couple of games and with various injuries it has been a challenge.

End of the 1st (PGH 0 49ers 0 )

49ers lose the coin toss and PGH elects to kick and the 49ers start at the 27 yard line, bad kick by Reed. Garcia is looking like a Pro Bowl QB / PGH was bale to hold them, the 49ers shank a 41 yard field goal to the left, PGH takes over and on the first play, Zeroue fumbles the ball and the 49ers get the ball back at the 38 yard line - BAD START ! PGH needs to hold them here ~ 4th and 14 and the 49ers punt and PGH gets the ball at the 26 yard line. Zeroue has been benched ! Maddox goes 3 and out ~ FAKE PUNT did not work, dropped pass ! This leaves the 49ers in prime position to score ! They are at the 20 yard line - nice pass by Garcie places them at the 11 yard line an dthey are 1st and goal and time expires in the 1st quarter.

So far PGH sacks Garcia 2x in a row, he looks hammered .... 3rd and goal and Garcia throws a quick pass in the middle for a TD to Battle for 14 yards ! This made the crowd silent ! s**t ~ Maddox throws a interception and it gets returned for a 50 yard TD ! MADDOX IS BENCHED and out comes Charlie Batch to spark the team ..... BATCH GETS NAILED WITH A HUGE SACK - GETS KNOCKED OUT OF THE GAME AFTER A HUGE PASS that puts PGH in scoring position - 3rd and 10 and Maddox is not making it happen ... ANOUTHER INTERCEPTION IN THE END ZONE by the 49ers, 49ers have the ball at the 26 yard line ~ 4th and 2 and the 49ers punt, PGH takes the ball at the 42 yard line. Batch is back in the game .... 3 and out - dropped balls kill a team !! PGH punts ..... 1:26 remain until half time - Garcia is hitting those quick out patterns with dead eye accuracy ... 49ers are moving at will and elect to gamble on 4th down and come up huge ~ TD to OWENS for 41 yards ! PGH is falling apart with :21 seconds to go ... 3 and out again for PGH .......... :04 left to half and that is it - BAD GAME FOR PGH and GREAT GAME FOR THE 49rs !

PGH gets the ball and is facing a 2nd and 31 after a fumble / it was 3rd and 31 and Batch gets sacked for loss / PGH punts again and the 49ers are in great field position / guess what ? Anouther huge pass to Owens for a 70 yard TD / blown coverage as the defender could not hold onto him ! This has killed the chances of a comeback by PGH ..... Enough bullshit ~ COWHER BENCHES BATCH FOR ROOKIE " St. Pierre" what do we have to lose at this stage of the game ?? 4th and 7 and PGH has no choice but to go for it - dropped pass by Randle El !

49ers move the ball to walk away with a field goal of 34 yards ~ Folks it is over here in the Burgh' Fans are pissed off .... Throwing bottles and stuff on the field ! The rookie connects to Ward on a long pass - End of the 3rd !

Eagles opened up the game and went three and out. First possession by the Rams results in an 8 yard TD pass from Bulger to Marshall Faulk. The Eagles would respond by the end of the quarter with a 3 yard TD run by Correll Buckhalter. Making it 7-7 after the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, after a 38 yard field goal by Wilkins makin it 10-7, James Thrash runs a 96 yd Kick return back for a Td to make it 14-10. STL would get a 1 YD run by Stanley Goodspeed to go up 17-14 and then open up the 3rd quarter with a 64 yd pass from Bulger to Torry Holt to go up 24-14. It was then that Buddy Ryan suddenly came onto the field, grabbed Donovan McNabb, and punched him square in the head in an attempt to get him to play better. Apparently it worked, McNabb throws a 6 yd pass to McMullen to pull within 3 and then after a Akers field goal ties it up, hits Thrash with a 58 yd TD pass to go up 31-24. The rams made a valient effort at the end by driving the ball downfield to the Eagles 35. But with 3 seconds left on fourth down, was unable to get the TD to tie it thanks to Troy Vincent swatting the ball away from the hands of Torry Holt. And the game ends.

Horse Trailer player of the game is Donovan McNabb going 13 of 21 for 249 yds and 2 Tds. Bulger went 12 of 27 for 239 yds, 2 tds and 1 INT. Marshall Faulk ran for 94 yds on 23 carries while Staley was held to just 12 yds rushing. Thrash had 3 catches for 127 yds and a TD while Torry Holt also had 2 catches for 108 yds and a TD.

So far this season has been typical Steeler Football, start the season with a few huge losses and then show spark and pull off a victory and get back to losing games. This is an alomst must win game for PGH if they have any shot ata ll to making a low seed in the playoffs ~ Cowher has the boys fired up to face a very lethal WolfeJet team ......... Some roster changes to the PGH lineup might prove to be the right combination or it just might put the final nail in a frustrating season thus far !

QUARTER 1 ( House of Steel 7 WolfeJet 0 )

3 and out for PGH / The Jets blitzed Maddox for a huge sack. Jets move the ball with grace until is was picked off by PGH, PGH takes over at the 9 yard line .... it was 3 and 12 for PGH and Maddox nails an awesome bomb to Ward for a 91 yard TD.

Jets are being pressured by the PGH D ~ Jets converts on a 3rd and 10 / Jets are throwing some quick out passes and making yards - Jets are on their 25 yard line and time expires !

QUARTER 2 ( House of Steel 14 WolfeJet 20 )

Jets are faced with a 4th and 3 and connect for a 43 yard field goal ! Awesome kick .... HUGE RUN BY THE BUS for a 84 yard TD ~ He busted some defenders and dragged a few on the way !! REED has not been kicking the ball well, can't get it deep, strained knee muscle ... Jets have the ball and connected on a huge pass, PGH was called for a Facemask and the Jets have the ball on the 4 yard line - Jets are faced with a 4th and 1 and punch it in for a TD ~ Jordan got the TD ! 2:41 to go until halftime ! Maddox throws and out pass to Bettis, it was picked off and the Jets walk it into the endzone for a huge TD / Garnes for 24 yards .... PGH has the ball again after the kick - and we are at the 2:00 warning ! Pgh has a 4th and 2 and elects to gamble - Zeroue blows it and opens the door for the Jets to score ~ Cowher is not happy ! Jets are looking sharp, they are at the 20 yard line with 14 seconds to go, incomplete pass in the end zone - Jets will attempt a 37 yard field goal with 8 seconds left, PGH calls a timeout to ice him, no good - Jets nail it for 3 !! Anouther great kick .... PGH has 2 seconds to nail a bomb ~ Pass was dropped and MADDOX was injured on that play !

QUARTER 3 ( House of Steel 14 WolfeJet 27 )

Jets start the drive at the 36 yard line - 3rd and 14 and connects in the middle for a 1st down ! The Jets are pounding the PGH D who are very tired ! TD Pass to Moss for 6 yards .... Jets are leading 27 to 14 ! Ward drops a ball in the end zone - end of the 3rd !

QUARTER 4 ( House of Steel 14 WolfeJet 27 )

PGH is keeping the ground attack alive, Bettis is over 125 yards rushing and they are faced with a 2nd and goal ! MADDOX IS PICKED OFF IN THE END ZONE .... MADDOX IS INJURED AGAIN !! Jets take over at the 20 yard line !

Pass was intercepted yet again, they know what Maddox is doing ! Jets run the ball and PGH talkes a TO, 2nd and 8 and the Jets miss a pass, it is 3rd and 8 and the Jets pass is no goos, they need to punt ~ PGH takes the ball and on the first playMaddox is dumped on his head ! What a strong blitz by the Jets ... 4th and 24 for PGH this is the last shot at a big play ! Again sacked by the Jets D, almost was a safety !

1st QThe Ravens get the ball first to open the game and move the ball fairly well with a couple J Lewis runs but are forced to punt from midfield. The Jets get the ball around the 20 yard line and mount a solid methodical drive consisting of a great mix of C Martin runs and short passes to S Moss. The drives leads to an eventual short TD run by C Martin to take a 7-0 lead. The Ravens then followed with a strong drive of their own hitting M Robinson for a 40 yard pass putting them into the red zone. Jamal Lewis capped the drive off with a 7 yard TD run to tie the game at 7-7.
2nd Q
The Jets storm right back down the field and convert on a fake punt pass to Becht to keep the drive alive. But the Ravens regroup and hold s them to a 30 yard D Brien FG. After going 3 and out, the Ravens are forced to punt. The Jets came marching right back down and were poised to blow the game wide open but L Jordan fumbled at the 6 and it was recovered by the Ravens D. But Brian Billick spazzed big time and accepted a clipping penalty which gave the ball back to the Jets with a 1st down at the 15 yard line. Vinny realized immediately that Billick screwed it up and proceeded to do what I felt was an extremely classy move and punted the ball through the end zone. The Ravens got the ball at the 20 but again went 3 and out and punted it away. The Ravens held the Jets from scoring again in the half.

The Ravens looked to be aggressive on their drive throwing a deep pass to C Conway streaking down the sideline but C McCallister leaped to make the interception. The Ravens then moved the ball slowly down the field and connected on a huge pass to Travis Taylor for 45 yards and the TD. Said K Boller "I was looking for the slot receiver on a comeback route and saw Taylor at the last second running wide open down the field. The Jets were not to be outdone nd aggain cam marching right down the field and capped the drive with a L Jordan 2 yard TD run to take the lead back at 17-14.

4th Q
The Ravens were just stymied for the entire quarter and finally was faced with a 4th and 7 from their own 38 yard line with 2:19 left in the game. Feeling like they would be unable to stop the Jets if they punted, the Ravens opted to go for it. However, the pass fell incomplete and the Jets had the ball with great field position. After stuffing the Jets for minimal gains, Pennington hit Becht for 8 yards but he breaks a tackle and gains the first down on a 3rd and 11. The Jets move the ball further downfield but are forced to settle for a 32 yard Doug Brien FG with 45 seconds left to make the score 20-14 in favor of the Jets. Sensing despair, the Ravens tried to open up their attack and move the ball down the field. But after a sack by J McGraw the Ravens were eventually pinned down to their 8 yard line with 22 seconds left facing a 4th and 17. Boller takes the snap, rolls right, is backed up to his 1 yard line, barely avoids being sacked and launches a bomb that went 59 yards in the air to a wide open T Taylor again. Taylor caught it at the Jets 40 yard line and outran Sam Garnes to the endzone. M Stovers extra point gave the Ravens a 1 point lead at 21-20. Said Boller afterwards "I was running for my life and was sure I'd get sacked. But then it was like time stopped and there in the golden yonder was Travis Taylor running all by himself so I heaved it as deep as I could throw it". The Jets got the ball back with 10 seconds and hit Chrebet for a nice gain to give them 1 more chance to hit a receiver in the end zone. Pennington dropped back and heaved a bomb to Moss which he caught at the 10 yard line but was immediately brought down as time expired.

In an unprecedented move, Commissioner Paul 'GOB' Tagliabue, waves his all powerful hand and grants GOB a win by forfeit after nyj42osag is kidnapped by Columbian rebels and hasn't been heard from since. Dallas goes for it on 4th down and connects with Galloway for a first down and then on the next play Dallas was callled for Offensive Pass Interference / Dallas faces yet anouther 4th and 12 and does not complete the pass and PGH takes over at the 43 yard line ! A trick play by PGH was fumbled and Dallas runs the ball back for a 53 Yard TD bringing them within 3 of PGH ..... PGH responded to the situation by hitting Randle El for a 60 Yard Bomb for a TD ......
PGH's D has been holding the passes of Carter - Dallas needs to covert this 4th down to keep them alive, pass was incomplete ... PGH takes over at the 45 yard line ... with 1:45 left in the game ...

FOBOROUGH, Massachusetts (AP)- In the waning moments, the Patriots kicked away, hoping to get one more break to go their way to avoid their first loss of the season. An earlier kickoff was inexplicably let drop by the Giants return team, allowing the Patriots to recover on the Giants 5, setting up a TD for the final losing margin.

Earlier in the game was a comedy of errors, as Tom Brady made a number of foolish passes, with three interceptions resulting in touchdowns for the Giants first 21 points. A later interception, a Kevin Faulk fumble, and a failed 4th down converstion resulted in more turnovers and field position advantage for the Giants.

"I take this loss on myself." Brady said at the post game press conference, his usual smile replaced by a stoic expression. "I was pressing too hard, trying to make something happen, and I screwed up. Once we got down by 14, 21 points, I pressed harder and screwed up more. This won't happen again though." Brady left the podium with his resolve intact.

Antowain Smith, when asked about how few touches he got, said, "You guys all know the gameplan. I usually get my 10-12 touches a game. Today just didn't go according to plan."

"We have to step it up too." said Patriots cornerback, Ty Law. "Those guys on offense go out there and try the win games for us every week by winning shootouts. When things aren't working for them, we've gotta step it up, get turnovers, and get off the field to give our offense another chance."

At his post-game press conference, head coach Bill Belichick spoke tersely with reporters and cut the question and answer session short before returning to the lockerroom for a team meeting. "We made mistakes all over the field today. Turnovers, allowing quick scores by the other team, inability to cover a RB out of the backfield, running into the punter. We can't allow that to happen next week. We have to stick to our gameplan and execute better."

"But in the end, after all that, we were down by only 7 when the gun fired, so we can't be that terrible. It's not like we're 0-5 here, we're 4-1. We just have to learn from our mistakes this week, and move on. We still have to play again next week."

The Steelers start working the sideline and methodically move the ball down field. On a few instances run the ball to move teh chains and then spike the ball. The Seawawks stay in a man to man coverage and doubel the primary WR option when the TE has 1 0n 1 coverage with a LB. Inthe last second the ball is thrown to Riemersma who juggles the ball and catches the TD pass. The Steelers go for 1 and tie the game 21-21

3rd quarter
Indy opens up with ball and ends up throwing a pick on an ill-advised Manning pass. Titans would get the ball and score on a 49 yard pass to Derrick Mason making it 35-14. But the rest of the game would be all Colts. Vanderjagt would kick a 45 yard field goal as a result of a McNair INT and later kick another 32 yarder. Colts also scored a 42 yd TD to Stokley to make it 48-14. And it would end that way. Peyton Manning would get horse trailer of game, going 14 of 19 for 311 yards and 4 TDs.
