Well you haven't heard the album yet, I know but when you do rest assured, all you drummers out there are gunna want to know how Jim got Aarons kick drum to sound so good so here goes the secret. We used Marc's yamaha oak custom drum kit for it's brightness and attack. The BIG 22 inch Kick was miked on the inside with an AKG D-112 and the secret of the big boom was actually how Jim miked it on the outside. Jim took the woofer from his old pair of NS-10 refernce monitors and spliced a XLR cable to the wiring on the woofer. Set that puppy in front of the kick and vwala... BIG BOOM
