Sorry it's been a while since we've given you guys an update, life has been busy for us here in north Mississippi. We have released two singles for you to enjoy, these songs will not be on the album but we thought you might like to download them to your computer. We have also recorded a new full blown single that will be pre-released on the website soon. Jim Barnes is currently working on the audio mix, we'll keep you posted! Still working hard on the album. We'll try to keep you updated as much as possible. For those of you who love K-Zone we are toying with the idea of recording a small K-Zone demo album with Hokey Pokey and a few other K-Zone exculsives this summer. We'll try to have them out in the Fall sometime. In the meantime check out the new Desoto Hills Youth website and click on the K-Zone link to check out the latest photos and news.

We had a great time in Meridian at Highland Baptist Church's New Years party. It was a wonderful event and we had a blast! Check out the picture link to see what all happened. Thanks to Beau Moore, Jim Barnes, Ashley Elliot, and Jami Lewis for all the help and support you gave us on the trip! We've been working hard on the album over the holidays. Kyle recorded some killer electric guitar tracks along with some sweet acoustic 12 string stuff. Check out the picture of Kyle talking to Ashley between takes.

The album is coming along slowly but surely. I have been laying down some sweet piano tracks over the past couple of weeks along with a sweet loop for a bonus track. Kyle will be coming in over the next two weeks to record more acoustic and eletric tracks. I took a quick trip to Hattiesburg this past weekend and sat in the studio with co-producer Jim Barnes to listen to the progress of the album and discuss future possibilities. We'll be playing in Meridian over the holidays. Check it out!

We had a good weekend in the studio working on acoustics for the opening track and a few other songs as well. Kyle also pulled out the tele and gibson amp and we layed down a few sweet electric guitar parts. Check out the updates on the site.

We had a great time this week leading worship for the Blue Mountian College revival. It was truly an amazing time of worship each night. I hope we get to see you guys again sometime soon. It was truly a blessing. |
