And I Waited For You...
Installment One - Page One
                                                                     ~ Zac ~
While the television sang out Ive got the urge to herbal, another Herbal
Essences commercial, I laughed, leaning back in my seat, Yeah, I talked back
to the t.v. Well Ive got the urge to

Zac, turn the t.v. down, WKJDs on the phone. Isaac shouted down the hall.

Muttering to myself I pushed the button to minimize the volume with the remote.
We had moved once again into yet another house in Eastern Tulsa, but this house
was bigger than the rest, definitely the nicest.  Each of us kids (all seven)
have our own rooms, although Mackenzie has an obsession with watching scary
movies and reading until he scares himself and has to run into my room at
nightits nice to actually have peace and quiet and be able to sleep at night.

Isaac strolled into the room and threw my shoes at me, Time to go.

We were supposed to go to the WKJD radio station to meet and hang out with a
winner for the day; qualifications to be the winner who meets Hanson: be the
biggest, loudest and, most obnoxious Hanson fan, wellthey left out the
obnoxious part, but it belongs in there; What we have to look forward to:
spending the rest of our day with an obsessive, obnoxious teeny, a girl(probably
an ugly one with our luck) whos going to ask stupid questions like what color
are your boxers? Your toothbrush? Do you like plain or buttered popcorn? Milk or
orange juice in the morning? And, peanuts or cashews?

Wheres Tay? I asked, pulling my Sketchers on and standing up. Despite what
the majority of our fans think, Doc Martins are great shoes, but only if you
want huge ones, at least thats how I feel about them.  I love Doc Martins but
Sketchers are way better when youre running, or playing a sport, or something
along those lines, because theyre lighter, and theyre really comfortable.

Hes in the car, lets go, Isaac said impatiently.

~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~     ~*~

We were rushed into the station while a mob of girls were outside screaming and
chanting Hanson. I felt like I was in a pretty good mood so I shouted back I
love you people! just to get the crowd roaring, which worked.

Inside, the station was on their last few questions for the two girls who were
competing to be the winner.  I had to laugh when I thought about it. The
winner? What kind of a title is that? Usually we say youre a winner when
were making fun of someone, not when were commending them.

Peeking at the girls I couldnt help but moan disgustedly, the first one I saw
was a full blond, with shoulder length hair, way too much make-up, a Hanson
shirt, her face painted, and stickers all over her.  But as my gaze shifted to
the second girl, I realized she wasnt the overly obsessive type the other had
been.  It made me wonder how shed gotten this far. She had on long white flare
jeans and a dark blue shirt that was basically a really tight short sleeved
shirt, but not a T-shirt, and not tight in a slutty waybut definitely tight in
an attractive way. Her blondish-brown hair came down to just above her waist,
and I could tell

    Zac.

Just by looking at her it was natural, not blond, not brown, kind of like Tays
now that hes cut it. She had

Zac! really dark blue eyes, and I could tell from the look of her sitting,
she wasnt
too too tall, but she was tall and skinny.

Zac! Whats youre problem man? Taylor said, obviously annoyed.

But she was beautiful. Hmmm? I asked, What? She was the definition of
beautiful. But the more I looked at her, the more I realized she was probably
Taylors type, or at least her favorite was probably Taylor. Im just the
little brother in the band. Just thinking that, I started to get mad. This whole
thing can be so unfair. Everyone treats me like the little brother when they
dont even realize that Im almost the same age Isaac was when we released our
first album.

Nevermind dude, we have to see the winner in like, 30 seconds though, after
this question.

How old do you think the girl in blue is? I asked hopefully (please say my
age, please say my age, please say my age).

In blue? UmmmI dont know, sixteen I guess, looks sixteen, probably your age
Taylor replied.

Really? I asked, beginning to smile. I figure you can always try, no matter
what.
