Tiger swallowtail, Papilio glaucus, on thistle
Monarch butterfly, Danaus plexippus,on goldenrod. We all know about the long migration of this butterfly, all the way to Mexico, where it spends the winter.
Red spotted purple, Limenitis arthemis on butterflybush. This butterfly is a mimic of the poisonous Pipevine swallowtail.
