The Epic of Dalen Grey

I had so much to do. I had to explore the tunnels beneath my house. I wanted to finally track down Brick and bring him some other kind of Justice. I wanted some real answers out of Delvori instead of the normal riddles I always got. There was always finding a way to deal with the Dragon Foot Clan. The deeper I look into whats going on, the more I seem to be engulfed in the conflict. I wasn't sure how much deeper I wanted to be.

It seemed the best way to decide was to look at what the biggest threat was. A tunnel under my bed where anyone could sneak in while I slept was the first place to secure.

Ondre and I, both with small torches, begain to explore the tunnels. The tunnel split two ways. I took the left one first. It let to a reinforced door. The door was useless however, for it was covered in debris. There was no way anyone could budge that door from the inside. That door seemed to be secure enough to help me sleep better at night.

The other fork of the tunnel also stopped at a reinforced door. It was the same kind that I had seen the last time I went to visit Delvori underground. The tunnels must all be linked and I know know why they were built. It locked from my side of the tunnel and was locked already. I opened it not knowing what to expect. In front of me was another door with no visible way to open it. To the left was a similiar door way that I could not get passed. They all had a sliding peep hole. I am guessing to allow them to be quarded. I went to the right to see the end of the tunnel. It didn't lead far before the stairs lead up. there was a door Just above my head. I lifted slightly to look around. I didn't see much to know exactly where it was. But the pair of feet standing by it were not there by chance. I was able to leave without being noticed and decided the only way out of the tunnel was the way we came in. As far as the tunnels, there was one blocked door, two doors in the way to my basement and if they still wanted to attack me they would have to move a heavy desk from the basement door. That would be sure to wake one of us.

"Ondre, I need some information."

"Thats a very expensive product in this town. You seem like a nice guy, I'll give you a discount."

"I'm serious, I need to know any connections you can find between the Council of Elders and the Dragon Foot Clan. Any information about Delvori would also help."

"Ok, but I may need some expenses paid. Information like this comes at a price."

"Ten drakers, try not to waste any of it."

"This should loosen a few Jaws, not all of them, but perhaps not enough. Is that all you can spare."

"That all you get, make it last Ondre."

"Yes boss."

I wasn't sure if there was a tone or not, but that didn't matter. I wanted to find Brick. I search all the known hideouts and safe houses I knew he had. I searched all day and all I found was empty buildings and the shadows of what use to be there. Was the gang that small that I defeated its core? Did I drive them out of town with there tails between there legs? Did they have a hiding place I was not aware of? There was one question I didn't want the answer too. Were they part of another group altogether and Just dissolve into another gang? If they did, which side are they on?
