The Epic of Dalen Grey

I don't think I was in that tavern for more then ten minutes. I spent along time beating on thugs for information. The loyalty they shared was almost inspiring, as I could never get one to expose their leader. I'm not totally against torture, but the amount needed to break these guys seems alittle beyond my conscious. If it weren't for a small bit of paper I had to ripped from one of their Jaws as he tried to swallow it, I would still be looking. All I could read that was any use to me was a place and a name. The place was the Fireside Inn, a tavern in the heart of the merchant quarters. The guy I would be looking for was Delick.

The place was crowded and I can't blame myself for bumping someone causing them to spill a drink. However, I take full responsiblity for calling him an overgrown hairless mutt. They were all drunk. Once he nailed a chair against another patron, he had someone else to worry about and I wasn't about fight if I didn't have to.

I would have to come back tomorrow when things settle down again. I found myself alittle out of place there. The building was full of old soldiers and passing mercenaries. I might need to stand out alittle less.

I don't know who this guy is, or why he is so important. I can protect the girls so long before they come after me in force. I have only one choice. I need to get to them before they get to me.
