Dear Mhiko, I have to say that I am truly impressed. Your discourse on Hidalgo, or HiDALgo, or HIdalgo, or HidalGO was hilarious. Keep up the good work! Karen
And so it happens that our first fan letter was actually for me.(probably because our e-mail address is under my name...) ^-^ Thank you so much for your letter Karen! Actually, Sera deserves most of the credit. It was her idea to do a discourse in the first place and she is far funnier than I am.

Hey, Loren! I'm glad you like our web site I hope you'll find it useful if you ever are in search of a good book to read -- and we do it for free, too! (We're so charitable...) Oh, and as an extra note for all other visitors reading this, Mhiko asked Loren and "nifty" IS, indeed, a good thing. So be happy. :D
Hey Mhiko This is Brittany, your website is really awesome. It's funny and a cool idea. I'm gonna book mark it and check it out some more. I think i might even check out some of the books you've critiqued, I'm always looking for a good book to read. Well anyways have happy holidays and feel free to email me here anytime, i always look forward to any mail that isnt spam :D. Especially if you guys add new stuff :)
Hello, Brittany! This isn't Mhiko, this is Sera, but this is the first time I've gotten a hold of an email before she has (muwahaha), so I'm answering you :) You don't mind, do you? Anyways. I'm glad you like our site and could possibly find it useful as far as books-to-read and books-to-throw-in-the-fireplace. That's the purpose of it, really. 'Tis our small lot in life to make sure people read good books...*wipes tear from eye*...

Alas and alack, Sera got to this one first. It IS for me, however, so I get to answer too! Thank you so much for your e-mail, Brittany, it's very encouraging to get mail like this. I'm glad that you found our reviews helpful! (and I hope you have a taste for fantasy books....) ^_~

Mhiko and Sera, Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my book, The Door Within. I often do Google the book and see what's out there. I must say that was the oddest critique I've received thus far. Bzzzt...electric shocks aside, I appreciate your honesty. I hope you'll like the 2nd book in the trilogy better. Rise of the Wyrm Lord comes out March 7th. Just a curiosity: how'd you hear about The Door Within? Where did you find it? I am very interested in how the book is being marketed and who it reaches. Thanks for the time, Wayne Thomas Batson

Wayne (can I call you Wayne?), Well this is certainly a shock. Sera and I never supposed that any of the authors of the books that we read would actually read our reviews. I have to apologize for not getting back to you sooner; Sera and I gave up on reading our e-mails when none came for a good year. After I read your message, however, I called Sera right away and we both fell into nervous giggles. We really did enjoy The Door Within (in the FAQ section we mention that we landblast everything, even our favorite books and movies). I borrowed it from Sera, who had read a synopsis on it from a website that she couldn't recall the name of. She got it for Christmas from her mom, who bought it from a Christian bookstore in Fallbrook (the name of which also escaped her). We both plan on reading the second book, Rise of the Wyrm Lord, when it comes out (assuming we have money), and we will review it also. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed our review. After all, that's what they're there for. Come back and see us again sometime. We'll be looking forward to it. Mhiko Riyo Kihonae
Uwah! My turn to answer!! Hello, this is the other web administrator, Sera. Our first visitor that we don't know, and Mhiko gets to it first. Not fair. She shall pay dearly!!!! Anyways. I'm glad our review didn't annoy you too much---we are usually very harsh even on the things we love, especially when we write a review together. I like to attribute it to the depravity of the human race feeding off of itself. Actually, to clarify, I didn't read a synopsis of the book off the internet, but out of a CBD catalogue...catalog (blech, something like that. Evil double spellings!!!) The plot intrigued me, so I put it on my Christmas list and posted it on the refrigerator, pointing it out every time my one of my family members passed by it. And, yes, my mom did buy it at a family-owned store in Fallbrook after I pointed it out to her and said the pages were blue (my mom likes blue, so I think it helped the whole case). Anyways. Yes, I totally understand about the getting started thing---even looking at some things I wrote a only few months ago makes me want to scream and start gouging my eyes out with pencils. So, yes, we certainly plan to read the next book and provide a review on it. And thanks for responding to us in such a kindly manner and letting us put your letter up on our aptly-named Letters Page. It makes us happy. *does happy dance* ~Sera~
