The difference between the animal and the human is that the animal is more general in its intent. The human is usually less blended, usually less allowing of the Energy to flow, but is more specific. Sharing Reiki with Animals

Animals teach us how to live in the moment, how to appreciate the little things in our lives and how to move into bliss with ease. Their joy of living is an example to us. Their unconditional love is a model for how we should strive to live our own lives. By offering them the relaxing, soothing energy of Reiki, we can give something back to them for all that they have given to us. Animals are very open to the healing energy of Reiki. Using Reiki with them can accelerate their healing process, ease pain, improve or help to continue their quality of life. In summery Reiki re-balances all of the animal’s energy body’s: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Using Reiki (either by distance or hands-on) is also a wonderful way to further strengthen the bond between you and the animal. It is a way to communicate with them at another level, to share that deep connection to the universal life force – love.

Some Pointers when giving Reiki to Animals:

1. Before you begin any treatment, clear yourself of any anger, fear, anxiety…any unresolved issues that will be sending “unsafe or threatening” messages to the animal.

2. Use Soft Eyes and Radiate Love from your Heart when approaching an Animal.

3. Bringing Reiki Energy to Animals is an Honor and Joy.

4. Some of the ways animals tell of their imbalances is through telepathy, body language, and behavior.

5. You can go to their home, barn, field or place wherever Reiki is requested.

6. The uniqueness of Animal nature is they integrate very quickly because they do not have to figure it out. They just accept it (the energy) and move forward on their journey.

Some imbalances are behavioral, emotional or physical (i.e. surgery or accidents).
Animals also have chronic problems (i.e. arthritis and allergies). Others are acute situations.

AURIC LAYERS OF CATS AND DOGS

As with all life forms, earthly animals do indeed posses auras. Auras are as much a part of the whole being as are the bones, the flesh and the tissue. They may not be as is the flesh, but auras are equally as visible.

The layers of auras of dogs, cats and other animals are different from those of humans in their extent. In animals, the etheric body, because it extends directly from the higher soul…is minimal…The second layer of the aura, which is known as the astral or emotional level, extends far wider than that of humans.

It stretches beyond the boundaries of any total human aura because animals participate as much at the astral level as they do at the physical…Cats in particular prefer the astral level of existence. The lower and higher mental layers of the auras of animals are quite narrow, for…they do not utilize their mental abilities to any great extent. Lastly, the spiritual layer of animal auras us similar in size to that of the astral and for both these levels this is a consequence of the abundance of Source consciousness within the animal.

Whereas the ability to see auras is latent in many humans, it is a natural sense, if you will, within the animal kingdom for the crown and third eye chakras are one. Thus the ability to “see” and function at the astral level is greatly enhanced. Dogs and cats recognize one another and their human companions primarily by “seeing” the aura of another and not from physical sensory input. That is why recognition can take place sometimes even at great distances, for the animals” aura extends so widely that contact can be made with another’s aura long before physical contact van b made. This auric contact is much more than seeing, smelling, hearing, touching and speaking. It resonates throughout all the inner senses of the animal. It is a melding of one aura with another.

Animals have a lot to teach us about humanity and being human. They are terribly honest when they look at you, and are a direct reflection of our lives. Animals have life force energy flows just like human systems. Remember, when working with animals, there is no absolute right or wrong, just what is.
