Stage III: Church Planting
Locating to Lower Eastside: four families relocate to Lower Eastside fulltime.
Using our God given gifts we will meet people and build relationships with the locals: visiting the homeless on the street, serving in soup kitchens, coaching children�s sports, talking at the park, and vocational work, eating and buying food from the same places regularly provides a good means of meeting people and building relationships with them.
Provide a study at each team member�s home will allow us to meet people in our neighborhoods and apartments complexes, as provide multiple times and opportunities for individuals to grow in the knowledge of God�s word in a relaxed atmosphere.
Raising up Christians through Bible studies and time in the community, we can further God�s kingdom. We will mentor new Christians and spend quality time with them. As they grow and mature in Christ, they will be able to take on more roles in the church.
Raising up Leaders: Stronger local Christians will meet every week with for in-depth Bible study to learn more about leadership and how the church functions. We will attend missions conferences, urban conferences, and various spiritual renewal conferences. We will teach others to teach.
Casting a Vision to breach off and plant other churches in areas where the gospel is also needed. We seek to be a church that plants other churches. Local leaders will be taught church planting principles and undergo continuous mentoring, while planting new churches throughout New York City. As we progress in meeting locals who will eventually become leaders, we will spend time learning our spiritual gifts together, undergoing team dynamics, and have retreats in which we spend time away from the city for dreaming and visioning together. With the local leaders, we will continue to research, visit, and pray for an area to start a new church plant.
