his leather jacket. i remember coming into the kitchen in the halls-of-residence flat shared by mel and mia in my first year at uni just after ian and mia had got toegther - ian was sat at the table and the first thing that i saw was his battered black leather jacket. i remember thinking how much older he seemed than us. or maybe jst me. he still has the jacket.
