Frequently Asked Questions on the subject of the work:

Q.
What are they made of?
A.
Modelling clay, sometimes Fimo. Not the trademark 'Plasticine', mind, because the stuff Patrick uses is cheaper and comes in a wider variety of colours. Apparently, Fimo is 'well pricey'.

Q.
How are they made?
A.
With the bare hands.

Q.
Have you tried making them bigger?
A.
Yes.

Q.
Why does your website have such an unnecessarily long name, and why does it take so long to load?
A.
Because Patrick is at a point in his career where he would rather save money than spend it.

Statement:

Patrick's work originates from many sources, most recently from plasticine models, which are themselves inspired by the act of painting. Although they have been displayed on their own, the three-dimensional models are rarely the finished work, as Patrick often returns them to a two-dimensional medium, e.g. painting and drawing, but most recently through the internet (this site and two others), light-projection and film. He sees the models more as three-dimensional (yet flat) photographs, as opposed to sculptures.
The models have recently come to represent memories of people as a photograph or even a film-still might do.
