We are a ski mountaineering team from Finland preparing for the big competition Patrouille des Glaciers in Switzerland. The race is an overnight competition where the teams have to ski from Zermatt to Verbier which means 4000 m total climb and more than 50 km vertical distance to cover. It will be held in the end of April.
As far as we know we are the first Finnish female ski mountaineering team and definitely the first to participate in Patrouille des Glaciers. Our goal is not just to complete the race but also to try to succeed. To be able to reach our high goal we are training hard and getting experience of ski mountaineering by competing in Sweden for instance. |
