Influential Melodiez is an independant recording label founded by Michael Hannah in the Twin Cities, MN. Michael, known by the rap name of Young Son founded the local hip hop group Young Squad Harmony, along with Leonard Sercy a.k.a Hypel. The group was nominated for a Twin Cities Hip Hop Award in 2007. He began working with other undiscovered artists who were about the same goals and musical morals as him. After gaining more and more people interested in having him produce their CDs and projects, he came up with the idea to go on ahead and begin an independant record label for the artists to call home, to complete projects and be able to distribute the music together to people in the higher level of the industry. The business plan for the label is quickly formulate and hopes to build rapidly and productively within the next five years. Young Son is at the helm of the business realm and aspects of the label, along with Hypel, Max Haben and TruCity as part of the Core 4 business circle to keep the label in motion. The artists and music of Influential Melodiez focus on the positive, inspirational and spiritual aspects, including culture and daily living. In the words of Young Son "There is no reason why we can't make music, achieve and suceed over all the bull crap that popular urban music is today. This here is for the good of the world, and no one can deny the genius and art forms that these artists', including myself bring forth. There's no reason that positive can't exceed the negative any day." The founder is a born again Christian and the music and those he works with reflects the fact that God is behind any true sucess. The genre of the label is currently includes artists' performing under the genre of Hip Hop, Rap, Soul, Gospel, R&B, Country, and Contemporary Pop. The label, full of young and sincere humble talent hopes to make an impact on the world with their new style, message, standard and fresh appeal while still being able to hang right amongst the big time artists who deliver the same hit making sound, but lack the creativity and the ability to put down the fasination with being something their not, and be real, talk about real stuff, make feel good music and reflect the truth. Influential Melodiez aims to conquer the game with what they call "Good Music".
