The Bings' Halloween
bash sets the stage for some crafty casting as Sean Penn begins a multiepisode
guest shot. The two-time
Oscar-nominated actor plays Eric, the nice-guy fiancé of Phoebe's semievil
twin, Ursula. But their unlikely pairing may not play out after he bumps into
his future sister-in-law at Monica's costume party, where Pheebs gets the
distinct impression that poor Eric is a dead man walking into a marriage trap
set by her sneaky sibling. Meanwhile, Rachel's maternal instincts are put to
the test by a batch of tricky trick-or-treaters.

The One with Joey's New Brain (Repeat)
Susan Sarandon guest
stars as Cecilia, a soap-opera diva who has a love-hate relationship with
Joey. Dreams of stardom dance in
Joey's head once again when he's asked to resume his soap role as Drake
Ramoray. Unfortunately, the sudser's wacky plotline calls for a comatose Drake
to receive the transplanted brain of Cecilia's character, who must be killed
off the show. As Joey works with the actress, their tension leads to a steamy
setside romance. Meanwhile, Ross stirs up drama at home by insisting on playing
bagpipes at Monica and Chandler's wedding.
