THE DEATH VALLEY ADVENTURE
"Deserts and mountains and canyons... Pretty vague." - Indiana Jones
Like so many adventurers before us, we too are lured to exotic and unreachable places.  Of these landscapes, the desert has always been the most exotic, the most intriguing, and the most feared.  Life walks a thin line in these arid, waterless landscapes and one desert in the American Southwest, Death Valley, is among the most infamous.  This remote valley is a blazing, fiery furnace spider webbed with countless canyon trails leading into the unknown from whence pioneers and miners once travelled to find their fortunes or their demise within the confines of this unforgiving span of sand and scrub.  The traveller gets easily lost if not careful, and many trails are not on even the oldest maps.

In the hills of this mysterious desert lie scores of abandoned mines to explore, breathtaking vistas to behold, and trails to trek.  MK and I, along with some friends, grabbed our gear, piled into two off-road vehicles, and set out to explore this dangerous wilderness over a three day period, ready for anything from collapsing mine tunnels to fortune and glory...
