Dr Sheikh Muszaphar,study the impact of microgravity and space radiation on cells and microbes from the International Space Station (ISS).
Then, he identify potential proteins as an HIV vaccine from ISS.
Dr Sheikh Muszaphar take the initiative to introduce astronomy courses and promote space science in UKM.
He also introducing prayer in space,identifying directions of Mecca and Mecca from space after receiving advice and direction from religious (Islam) authorities in Malaysia.
