The last regular service buses in Fort Wayne to run will roll sign destination curtains were their 1983 Flxible Metro's. Through the courtesy of Citilink, I was able to recover nearly all of the signs from the remaining 12 Flxibles, of the original 22, for preservation.

Citilink uses one of the most unique, yet practical, roll signs I've ever seen. Called the "Auxiliary" sign, this manually operated sign is mounted facing out on the front dash of the bus, in the location usually reserved for the bus's run number (see the highlight above). This sign indicates the bus's routing with a "VIA" message, or others such as "EXPRESS" or "SHUTTLE". |
