Background: William Teagarden is the son of Markus and Kathryn Teagarden of Independence Pennsylvania. He had an older sister, also named Kathryn, and an older brother, also named Markus, with whom he constantly fights. As the son of a Senator, he grew up in a life of luxury and had the best of everything handed to him on a silver platter. The best toys, the best clothes, the best house, everything was given to him without a second thought; however, he always wanted more.

Growing up in his family's ancestral home, William never understood why he was different from others and why people didn't live in homes like he did. Will couldn't understand why people didn't have as much money as his family and why they couldn't travel as much as his family did. This got especially worse when he entered school. The parents of the other children would always try to set up play dates between him and their children so they could get to speak with the Senator, but William rarely got along with the other children. He was actually very envied for his status by his fellow students, and, resulting, he didn't have many friends.

Education came very easily to him, as did physical exercise, but relationships were something he could never master. He spent a great deal of time studying different texts and learning what he could (he was most adept in history), and rarely had time to go out and have fun. To be honest his dedication to his studies had kept him pretty much socially awkward for a long time. When he turned 18 he considered joining the military, but his parents talked him out of it. Instead he was sent to the Independence University of Pennsylvania where he began studying Business Administration and Political Science. He became engaged during his time in college, but the relationship didn't last. He considered going to Law School, but decided against it as he wasn't ready for the challenges involved with it. Instead he decided to take some time off and returned to Teagarden Manor to enjoy life.

That was two years ago and he still hasn't left. Pretty much he spends his days reading and exercising in the massive Manor. He's alone now since his parents moved away, but he enjoys the solitude that he now has. When asked when he'll leave he says he's waiting for a sign of what to do with the rest of his life. Until then he plans to stay in the mansion and just enjoy life. 1
