From what's been gathered the Flesh Eaters change after time has gone by giving us three different types of Ghouls to deal with. To make things easier we're going to divide them into three distinct phases of infection.

ALPHA STAGE - The Living Dead in the Alpha Stage have just turned from being a living being to a member of the undead. In this stage the creatures are the most dangerous as family, friends, and emergency response personnel are most likely to try to help the infected person at this time (perhaps not even realizing that he/she has turned as they don't appear any different than usual). The dead when in this stage are also the most deadly because of their capabilities (depending upon injury of course). Members of this class CAN RUN for a distance and have been known to attack directly. As rigor mortis begins to set in though the creature will move into the next stage.

NOTE: THIS CANNOT BE OVEREMPHASIZED BUT IT MUST BE NOTED THAT THE LIVING DEAD ARE NO LONGER YOUR FRIEND, FAMILY, OR YOUR CHILD. THE PERSON YOU KNEW IS DEAD AND YOU WILL BE TOO IF YOU TRY TO GET TO CLOSE TO ONE OF THE UNDEAD. APPROACH ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY AND IF YOU ARE ARMED!

BETA STAGE - Creatures in the the Beta Stage are starting to feel the effects of being dead. They are slower than their Alpha Stage Counterparts and (if they over exert themselves) can cause limbs to fall off of their bodies from extreme use. Their skin and internal functions are dead so they tend to change color at this point to white or sometimes grey depending on their progression. They are slower than the alpha stage, but are still moderately fast depending on their progression through the stage, but are typically restricted to a walking pace before entering the final stage.

NOTE: OCCASSIONALLY IN THIS STAGE THE FLESH FEASTERS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO VOMIT AND SOMETIMES THEY EXPLODE. SHOULD YOU ENCOUNTER A BETA STAGE GHOUL AND THEY BEGIN TO VOMIT OR EXPLODE STEER CLEAR OF THEM AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. YOU COULD BE INFECTED EVEN IF YOU AREN'T BITTEN BY THE CREATURE.

CHARLIE STAGE - The final stage of the undead creature, when entering into this phase the effects of being dead have taken a dramatic toll. Withered and worn body parts fall from the bulk, the skin is in patches and commonly falls off revealing the dead musculature and bones beneath. The creatures are restricted to a walking pace only at this time, but they are still extremely dangerous when encountered in groups. The brittleness of their bones is an advantage when in hand to hand combat, but they can infect the living far easier than any other Stage.

NOTE: DESPITE THE FACT THAT THIS IS THE FINAL STAGE IN THE CREATURES LIFESPAN, IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT IT IS UNKNOWN EXACTLY HOW LONG AFTER ENTERING THIS STAGE THE CREATURE WILL REMAIN "ACTIVE." IN ADDITION IN THIS STAGE, LIKE THE OTHERS, THE CREATURES MAY REMEMBER THEIR LIVES (LIMITED).
