Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind is without a doubt my favorite band ever. I borrowed their first cd from a friend when their single "Jumper" came out. The whole album was really good (some songs better than others, of course), but I was touched and overwhelmed when track 12, "The Background," began to play. It was so basic, and yet, absorbing. When
the bridge started, I knew I loved this band. The guitar solo gave me goosebumps. Their music is phenomenal, and since I borrowed their first cd, I've now come to own it and their other two albums Blue and Out Of The Vein. For anyone who's into music that is down-to-earth and catchy and all-around awesome, check these guys out.

The Rest Of Us
These guys are an amazing local band from northeast Kansas. The college I attend was having an open house, and a stage had been set up in front of the union. Long story short, I had no money and ended up hanging out at the stage to hear all of
the local bands playing. The last band, The Rest Of Us, kicked me in my face. Their music caught me so off guard, and it was remarkable. The ethereal guitar playing, sweet keyboards, vocals, and man!!! Not only was their sound crazy awesome, they were a Christian band! The message they were giving

out was just so cool! Should you get the chance, check these guys out if they ever make it national (because believe me, it won't surprise me if they make it that far).
Other bands I deem noteworthy:
My good friend Court is a part of a really fun rock band (local). Should you want to check out their stuff, definitely click
