Team ID made it back from the Calgary Dragon Boat Festival in high spirits, filling the weekend with lots of fun, team bonding and even some "Dwagon Hunting" hijinx!
Thank you very much to Louis, team manager for YPM Pirates of The Carib Bean Counters, for acting as team manager for the weekend. It was very much appreciated!
Also an official welcome to Bill, steersperson for Family Affair, for steering us to a great weekend in Calgary, and Chris Hansen, owner of Paddle Paths Inc., joining us for his (and our) second Calgary festival. It was great having you both with us!!
Our next stop on the festival trail is volunteering at the Sylvan Lake Dragon Boat Festival in two weeks (August 27th). It's a great venue, and we really enjoy helping expand the growth of the sport in Alberta.
Our last stop for the season is a trip to Regina, SK for their festival Sept 1-2. We're looking forward to a great weekend- it'll be our first team venture to the province to the east.
Pool practices are scheduled for every Tuesday until June 6th. Please watch your e-mail for updates, so you know when we will be at the pool and when we will be at Henderson Lake!

A new concept for the team logo has been chosen - details to be finalized soon. Personal paddles and paddle bags will be arriving in the next 4-6 weeks. Pool practices will be continuing until the end of May. Check for updates as they come.

Pool paddling has started at Nicholas Sheran Pool every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Come out and cheer us on.

The team executive had finished the team's list of goals and priorities for this season, and will be posted on the web page. The festivals to attend were also voted on.
