Fasting in Ramzaan
In Islam,fasting in the month of ramzaan has been made compulsory.The Quraan states
"O who believe, fasting is decreed for you as it was decreed for those before you; perchance you will guard yourselves"(2:183)
All fast consist of the following rituals.
1)Suhur/Sehri/Imsak--Starting the fast
2)Iftar/Futoor--Ending the fast
3)I'tikaf--Complete devotion
4)Lailatul-Qadr-- Night of power
5)Taraweeh--Additional prayers during fasting
6)Fitra
7)Guidelines during fasting
