Ending the fast
I)Time to end fast
"and eat and drink until the whiteness of the day becomes distinct from the blackness of the night at dawn, then complete the fast till night"(2:187)
SAHIH BUKHARI,Volume 3, Book 31, Number 175:
Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab:
Allah's Apostle said, "When night falls from this side and the day vanishes from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast."
II)Iftaar is an important time.
SAHIH BUKHARI,Volume 9, Book 93, Number 584:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
There are two pleasures for a fasting person, one at the time of breaking his fast, and the other at the time when he will meet his Lord.
III)Fast should end with dates/water.
SUNAN ABU-DAWUD,Book 13, Number 2348:
Narrated Salman ibn Amir:
The Prophet (pbuh) said: When one of you is fasting, he should break his fast with dates; but if he cannot get any, then (he should break his fast) with water, for water is purifying.
