MANUFACTURE OF CHEMICALS USED IN SHEEP BREEDING
Introduction
Livestock farming in
agriculture requires the use of chemicals (such as pesticides, antibiotics,
vitamin supplements etc) so as to have a successful farming, without which
diseases will ruin the lives of the animals and lead to large losses in the
farming practices. This lesson
will show the students how much valuable chemicals used to treat and prevent
various sheep diseases are manufactured in the industry. Subject and Grade
level: GRADE LEVEL 11 Lesson Goals ·
For students to see how valuable chemicals are
manufactured by chemical industries. ·
For students to know the type of raw materials used
to make a particular drug or pesticide and by products obtained. ·
For students to also see the effect these processes
in the industry have on the environment. Content Objectives ¨ Students
will learn about manufacturing processes ¨ Students
will learn about trade names and chemical names of materials ¨ Students
will also learn more about the environment and the effects industries have on
them Performance
