Team Positions
 
Speaker/Discussion Facilitators (8-10) Prepare a talk for the weekend; lead discussion groups (lead-in questions can be provided); be available for support of participants; provide transportation to and from retreat center (if needed).
Song Team (6-8) Select songs for the weekend; ensure songbooks are available; set-up music equipment and move/tear-down when needed; lead singing and provide accompaniment for song sessions.
Devotion Leader (1) Lead worship on Friday night and Saturday morning; lead bible study/devotion/group activity on Saturday evening; assist in the setup of the speakers chapel, the chapel, and the fireside room.
Spiritual Director (1) Provide spiritual direction, encouragement, and guidance to the team; be available to listen to, and provide individual Pastoral guidance, comfort and reassurance to Participants and team members during training and throughout the weekend; listen to all practice talks and assist Lay Leader critique of talks as required; assist in the development of all devotional materials; lead various aspects of weekend worship services; provide comments to group as needed or required.
Set-up Team (6-8) Confirm the retreat center is available prior to the weekend; ensure there are enough supplies prior to retreat; ensure supplies get to and from the retreat center; set-up and tear down rooms for various functions; escort participants luggage to the proper locales; provide wake-up calls to the team and participants; make sure all bathrooms have enough supplies; keep water, candy, gum baskets at discussion table fully stocked; keep all rooms picked-up and clean; make sure coffee and hot water is available; assist lay leaders, speakers devotional leader, and spiritual director as needed.
Homecoming Team (10-15) Ensure invitations to homecoming are extended; organize homecoming meal for Sunday afternoon; set-up (include decorate) and cleanup after homecoming meal. Assist in Saturday evening dessert (at the retreat center).
Assistant Lay Leaders (2) Help choose team, write letters (as needed), assist in speaker and discussion group leader training; assist in team meetings; arrange transportation; discussion group leader (if needed); prepare and give a talk on the weekend; assist as and where needed.
Lay Leader (1) Train the team for the KW; conduct meetings; promote the retreat to potential participants; make sure all duties are assigned; form discussion groups; write letters to the team and participants; lead the weekend retreat; assist Spiritual Director with any issues as they arise; other concerns as they arise.
