Transfer of data to your main computer is easily
achieved by pressing a single button. There is no practical limit on the amount of herd information that can be stored. The data files are tiny compared to that of available memory these days.
The same program that runs on the HandHeld unit is provided on your Desktop (Windows) computer. You only need to use it for evaluation without owning a device, and possibly on your own data as well.
Information is transferrable in 'industry standard' (.DIF) format for downloading into the Herd Recording host program of your choice - provided your service allows it!.

Can I check out the software on my own PC? You can obtain the program here here but it's about 4Mb in size which is a tall order for a dial-up line. Alternatively you can Order a CD here.
Are the any restrictions in the software? The program is in English and because of date formats and Industry Standard Health and Mating Codes used it's currently only suitable for operations in Australia. FarmHand is password protected - unlockable by PIN on purchase.
What equipment do I need in order to run FarmHand? An ordinary Windows PC and any reasonably modern unit runnng on either the Palm Operating System or Windows for handhelds.
Are there any upgrade plans? The program has been very stable since its inception and there have had to be no enforced changes in file formats.
