BEING AND BECOMING       Page 3 of 3

We are to dwell only on that which is good, worthwhile, right, decent, positive and life-enhancing. Sometimes __ for example when we are in constant pain, that is extremely difficult to do, but we are to do it anyway, hopefully with a sense of humor and a sense of joy maintained through grace. From the mind comes a constant stream of feelings. All these emotions we often suggest come from the heart, from within, from the center, even though we all understand the heart is actually a pump, a very important art of our physical selves. Still, we often think of the heart as the centered dwelling place for the Holy Spirit within us and we refer to conscience as that Devine spark essential for guiding our daily lives.

     THE BODY __

The physical body is the most visible temple over which God has given each of us stewardship. In each body is housed ones mind and Soul. What an interesting personal trinity! We are charged to regard our own bodies with the reverence awarded to temples. This is probably the easiest on of our stewardship assignments. It is far easier, for example, to keep ones body clean__ than ones mind just as it is far easier to conceal evil thoughts than evil deeds.

We are to manage this complex, inter-connected machine that is us. We are in each of us to pull this personal triad together and keep it operating smoothly. We are to fulfill these lifetime commitments by Grace__ through faith.  Let us ask ourselves: Would we want the child we were to model the adult we have become?

Then we can say We have respected Gods gift:  These gloriously designed bodies.

     Through Grace__

     We have kept the faith.

     We have stayed the course.
