*~WILD WILD HORSES~* |

After Fatty died, word spread quick that I was without a horse. I trained a young riding pony called Statesman (who had just been broken in) the tricks of the trade in Pony Club. He was later sold on. |

The same lady I was training Statesman for then offered me another horse called Alkame. A day later Alkame was in our paddock and we began competing together. |

Within a year I was back competing at the State Titles. No longer did I sport. I had to completly change my style of riding to compete at State level for Equitation (at Clarendon) and Eventing (at Cessnock). |

The change proved to be worth while. At State Eventing i finished 3rd after the Dressage Phase, 1st after the Cross Country, and was unlucky to have a rail in the Show-Jumping which placed me 4th Overall. I was awarded the Cross Country Medal for clear and closest to optimum time. |

At The State Titles for Eventing, held at Warren in 2001, Alkame and I placed 2nd after the dressage. Due to the rain that fell, the event was cancelled. |
