We need to be recognized as a community. This is a very worthwhile project. Won't you join us? This is an easy and fun project that is getting recognition and being displayed at Sarcoidosis events. Each square represents a sarcoid patient from all over the U.S and abroad. Help us with a square and be part of this great undertaking to bring out awareness. |

| Sarcoidosis is a disease of the immune system. It can affect any organ or part of your body. Sarcoidosis will make you feel slugish and tired all the time. It may affect your lungs, heart, brain and nerves to name a few. People will look at you and think you're lazy because you can't do the things they feel you should be able to do, but if you're suffering from sarcoid, chances are your body's defenses are low. You may have a dry cough that won't go away, or chills or maybe even panic attacks. An easy way to get checked is through an ACE test, this is just a simple blood test. Another way is through x-rays, now these are not always conclusive. An MRI or Bronchoscopy, even a skin biopsy may be more accurate, so ask your doctor which one may be right for you. |
