"Like the elephant, we are unconscious of our own strength. When it comes to understanding the power we have to make a difference in our own lives, we might as well be asleep. If you want to make your dreams come true, wake up. Wake up to your own strength. Wake up to the role you play in your own destiny. Wake up to the power you have to choose what you think, do, and say. ---Keith Ellis
I have wished so many times to have the ability to save all the victims of domestic violence. I realize that I can not save everyone, but I can hope to try to save at least one person. Maybe even give someone hope. I hope you find something of use in my words. It took me about a year or so to write a book about my experience. I am currently looking for a publisher. I will update more when I know more regarding it. May you always remember who you are & trust in the light within you that shines in the spirit of love. All that is right comes from the source of love. Here is my story
My Page On Domestic Violence:
This was not an easy page to compose. I have debated many times if I should do this. One thing that was holding me back was that I did not want to have a somber feeling to my site. I did not want my visitors to leave feeling, perhaps, worse than they felt before coming here. Another reason that I have held off writing this was because I was afraid of digging up old ghosts. But, I feel that I have made as much peace with the past that is possible. I believe that everything happens for a reason. By believing this, it has helped me make some sense of what has happened to me. I have always been a person that has tried to look for the good in everything.
This webpage is my way of finding the good in my situation. By doing this webpage perhaps, it will help someone out there reading this. If you are someone in an abusive relationship, know that you are not alone. There are many people out there that can help you, if you just reach out for that help. Those people will not judge you, as they understand, because a large majority of them have walked in your shoes before. Do not be ashamed, you have done nothing wrong but love someone who was/is very sick. Do not misunderstand me, no sickness makes violence excusable.
